Awesome GF bread maker!

In comapre to my old and expensive Bread maker, this Hamilton beach stainless steel Artisan Dough & Bread Maker is very lightweight and even affordable. I love the gluten free cookbook. Super happy to be able to make so many GF bread recipes using gluten free setting. After following the “Before First Use” instructions I was ready to make my first loaf of bread. I put my wet and dry ingredients in the loaf pan and locked it in place, then closed the lid. I chose the gluten free cycle and pressed Start. About 2 1/2 hours later the machine beeped few times and my bread is done. The crust was the perfect color for me. The bread was nice and soft.
Overall the machine is sturdy and easy to operate. The outside of the machine is easy to clean but does get hot during use. The only thing I don't like about this bread machine is the digital readout. I would definitely recommend this bread machine to others. I’m going to try making pizza dough next and then dumplings! I've always had good luck with Hamilton Beach products.

Good value beginner machine, or for sml families

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a good value bread machine for beginner bakers. Easy to use, makes a decent size loaf, small foot print.
I wish it was a little more detailed in the process, itll beep in different stages but if you are far or leave and come back, hard to really know exactly.
Overall, i felt it was a food bread machine, especially for beginners but if youve used on before or have a big family, this is a pass.

Little dynamo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little bread maker. Never used one before and it is so easy. There are a few negatives to bring up but not bad. It is kind of noisy when mixing which is really not too bad. I didn't know about the two different mixing times as in the basic white bread recipes, so when it beeped long before it was done I was confused because ir did not stop when I made French bread. There was a very small bit of info in the basic recipe that mentioned it but nowhere else unless I missed it. The other thing to mention is the icons on the control buttons are hard to read in the booklet. Now for the pros... great product!!! So easy to use. I had never used bread flour before, just all-purpose; but bought a bag. I found the bread flour made the loaf too dense...not airy enough. So I experimented a bit using all-purpose flour, a 1/4 tsp more yeast, and following the recipe for a 1 lb loaf but setting the machine for a larger size. Turned out perfect. My friends benefited from my experiments.
The pictures show how beautiful the loaves come out. The hole on the bottom is where the paddle had to be removed. The little extraction tool worked great. The unit bakes to perfection with a nice golden brown crust. Makes delicious toast! Nice and crunchy. I plan on trying more of the options; the pizza dough would be much easier than getting out my stand mixer or food processor. The booklet is easy to read and the tips and trouble shooting are full of helpful info. All in all a very well made and useful product.

Super easy to use

When I found this bread maker through Hamilton Beach I decided to finally give it a try. The instructions were extremely simple, I was able to try some basic recipes and after 2 tries I successfully made a loaf of bread! I’m very excited to continue using this bread maker for many more recipes!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very small, compact, easy to store bread maker. The ingredients were simple to follow and the bread came out nicely. I wish it was a little larger to accommodate a larger loaf. I've really enjoyed the first month with my first bread machine—especially once I started weighing my flour. Measure ingredients, start the appropriate cycle, be ready to scrape the sides and/or add a little flour or water 10 mins in … and you've got fresh bread waiting to be cut!

Great machine, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting a bread maker for a while to speed up my bread making process. This bread maker comes with a great guide book that gives recipes and quick fix bread. It takes a little time to understand the buttons and the settings. Just take the time to read the manual and it makes it a lot easier to learn. I've only made white bread a couple times but both times it's been quick and delicious! I like that theachine has a timer so the second time made it I put all the ingredients in and set it up to start a few hours before I needed the bread to be finished. Simple to use and quick to make with little mess to clean up.

Also I have used the 1 pound or 2 pound features so far and they both came out absolutely perfect. Makes my house smell so yummy. I made Italian bread,sweet bread and french bread so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always been curious about bread machines and I’m glad to see they’re coming back in style. My new HB machine has convinced me that it’s a great idea! You simply add the ingredients for your recipe liquids on the bottom, dry ingredients next, and yeast on the top, and presto! I’ve made some lovely maple oat bread, some less than perfect French bread, and currently I’m rising some dough for some olive oil herb bread, and let me tell you how good it smells! The key is to remember to give your machine some space, let it do its thing, and keep trying until you find a recipe you love. That’s really my only complaint…there are a couple of recipes in the instruction manual but it would be lovely to have a small booklet of tried and true recipes that work well (offer it as a bonus or incentive? I also don’t love the shape of the loaves but it is what it is, and I’ll knead to my heart’s content!
