I have just started my first loaf of basic bread. The manual that comes with the bread maker is awful. It took me an entire evening to figure it out. I still don’t know what I’m supposed to do with the paddle hook. Hopefully, when this loaf finishes, it will be good and worth the effort.

This is my very first time to use bread maker. Once I understood use of the display, everything else was a breeze. My only wish is that this model alerted you right before the baking cycle begins so I could remove the paddle!

Crust color

Even on dark setting the crust is too pale in color. Can it be placed in the oven after coming out of the bread maker to make it more golden? Tips/advice welcome!
