[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bro, honestly? The Galaxy A16 5G is kind of a W if you're on a budget and just need a solid everyday phone.
Here's the vibe:
The Screen: The display is actually super clean. Scrolling through TikTok or watching YouTube in class without getting laggy is a total vibe.
The Battery: Battery life is lowkey clutch. It easily lasts all day through school, practice, and scrolling late at night without needing to stress about a charger.
The Look: It low key looks pretty sleek from the back, not like a cheap toy.
The Catch: Don't expect it to run heavy- games at max graphics without lagging, and the cameras get the job done for quick pics, but nothing crazy.
Overall it's a great phone

My Samsung A17

I dont have to worry about it slowing down if I add an app or file or what have you, and, it let's me know pretty much, what I need to do such as updating or anything else.

No dedicated RAM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this phone because after an update from Samsung that bricked my galaxy S23 ultra, which I've transfered since the Note 8, 9, 10, 20, 21ultra then finally 23 ultra. I was at a loss. Lost years of pics, contacts etc. Got this A17 5G as an emergency backup but the lack of actual RAM makes the whole phone a horrible experience, cant run multiple apps. Nothing stays open in background, everything has to start fresh. When receiving text codes its impossible to read the code without losing the app current page or loaded screen. Text notifications dont come thru if you are doing literally anything else. And phone calls are 50/50 @ best. I loved my S23 Ultra and would love to get the 26 Ultra to replace it. But as a disabled veteran fighting with MS and various other illnesses, I haven't worked since July 2023 and the VA takes its sweet time helping. This is my only option. I've been a huge supporter of Samsung products including all its watches, buds, tablets and phones. Sadly due to an update failure all that is lost now.
