The oven is fantastic. It heats up very quickly and the pizza always comes out perfectly after only 90 seconds! The unit is sleek and modern, fitting in perfectly with our kitchen. It is an investment piece, but well worth the money spent, especially if you adore eating pizza as much as we do! The Volt is brilliant for authentic pizza making all year round. No gas bottles, or timing pizza with good weather. When running, the unit is not very noisy, which surprised me. All in all, we are very happy with it and the pizzas we make are perfect every time.
Its a fantastic unit which makes pizza night hassle free. Ill still use my outdoor ooni in Summer, but for the winter months in Scotlans, the Volt 2 is a game changer.
Does at great job cooking Neapolitan pizzas quickly, much better than what I could do with my domestic oven.
Some cons: It is loud. I felt Ooni could have developed an oven which is much quieter for the money they charge. It is quite large so be prepared to surrender counter space. I am making pizza once per week so I think I will have to store it in a cupboard. Disappointed it is not more versatile. At 400 celsius it could have been a good proxy for a tandoor oven. But Ooni says don’t cook anything oily/fatty above 250 to avoid a fire risk. Not worth the sound to use it as a table top oven for baking bread and biscuits etc. So it is a single use gadget which is annoying.
Just as well that I love making and eating pizza- it does that job really well. If money permits would still aim to get an outdoor oven which is quieter and use the volt 2 as a back up for rainy/wintery days.
Bottom crust was great outer crust did not bubble or darken like Neapolitan. Doesn't matter to me but doesn't cook or look as advertised for Neapolitan style.
