Incredible pizza - incredible amounts of smoke

Amazing pizza and in record time! But the smoke. sooo…much…smoke. We’ve used it twice and both times we had to quickly open up the entire house to get the smoke out. The second time we had to rip down all of the smoke alarms because they wouldn’t stop going off. So while the pizza is wonderful, it’s not a great indoor oven.

Absolutely live this pizza oven. I have the Koda 12, and though about upgrading to a larger outdoor gas oven, but liked the idea of making pizza indoor. This thing is amazing, cooks evenly, which was an issue with gas, and is super easy to use. Im not sure I'll ever use the outdoor oven again. I HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone that loves pizza. Im using it weekly at thia point and every pizza I've made has been perfectly done. So far I've only used the NY style setting, but will try neopalotan next.

Have made 2 pies with the Volt both were excellent. Similar to the appearance to my "old" Mod 3 Pellet unit (which we will continue to use as well) Flavor was great. Looking forward to getting better acquainted with unit on cooking other then pies.

Ooni Volt 2 is Amazing!

We got our Ooni Volt 2 a few weeks ago and we have used it several times since then and we absolutely love it. We have started a new tradition of making pizzas every Friday! The pizzas are so delicious and it takes less than 2 minutes to bake!!! Best purchase we’ve made in quite a while.

Horrible product

This is my third Ooni oven, and I had very high hopes for this electric version. Unfortunately, it has been extremely disappointing. It heats up reasonably well at first but rarely reaches the target temperature. As soon as you open the door to put in a pizza, the heat drops dramatically, and it struggles to recover. The first pizza may be acceptable, but the ones that follow are consistently poor.
The “crisp” function works only intermittently because the base temperature falls so much that the crisper can’t get hot enough to do its job. It appears to require a minimum temperature to function properly, which this oven often cannot maintain.
Overall, this is a very frustrating product. I expected far better from Ooni, and I’m surprised they released something that performs this inconsistently.

Too powerful?

Great oven! The only issue Im having is when I use the neopolitan preset, my pizza gets burned if I use regular flour (00 molino passini verde) to open the pizza. Am I doing something wrong? Should I use semola flour?
