I bought this about a month ago and am satisfied with it. I do seem to have some interface issues with either my direct tv system or my Samsung TV
It’s in the drawer because it won’t set up or allow me to access Netflix. So I don’t use it I got 2 others in other rooms I just unplug and use in other room if needed. Just bought this one cuz it had the voice remote
I bought one in 2020 and I started getting messages that my software was out of date. The audio worked fine. Updating did not fix it. So, I bought a new Ultra and I still got the software out of date messages, and the audio fades in and out periodically. Contacted support and they basically told me that my software was up to date and not to worry about the messages. Never received an email response regarding the audio issue. Searching on the web I found out that this problem has been going on for at least 3 years. AND ROKU STILL HASN'T FIXED IT! I returned the new Ultra and reverted back to the old one. When I need to replace the old one, it WILL NOT be another Roku. They have product quality issues, and their customer support leaves much to be desired.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Brian, thanks for sharing. This sounds a bit unusual. please follow these steps to perform a Factory Reset: Press Home>Setting>System>Advance System Setting>If you have a Roku TV, select Factory Reset everything. Otherwise, move to the next step. After performing a Factory Reset, your Roku device will restart as if it were brand new. You will need to complete the following steps: Perform the Guided Setup and activation process, and sign in to streaming channels that require a username and password. If the issue persists please contact us directly at https://support.roku.com/contactus.
I have purchased three Roku Ultras over the past few years. I bought the 4802 because it supports Dolby Atmos. I am very pleased with the performance of the 4802.
Have had Roku for approx six months. Content (shows available) is well worth it. However the remote stinks. It's too small and eats up batteries.Volume control is worthless. The remote works when it feels like it. Needs upgrade/improvement very badly. Roku should offer a larger more effective remote.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there, we appreciate your feedback. We're here to help. A low battery can affect your remote’s performance, so it’s crucial to ensure it stays charged.
Please be aware that private listening will typically drain the battery on your remote faster than when it is not being used. Be sure to always unplug your headphones when not in use, as this will help preserve your remote's battery life.
If you continue having trouble with your remote, don't hesitate to contact a member of our support team directly at http://support.roku.com/contactus so that we can assist you. Happy Streaming! Roku Customer Advocate
Last Year,I purchased 3 of these units & love them. The Roku Ultra is convenient when you misplace the remote. Compact & Efficiently Design hides unit while near Television not like the cable boxes that are bulky looking. These units don’t overheat like other models do & easy to clean.I would highly recommend this product. We have had no issues with these units . Awesome Product.Love the clarity of the picture we get & hasn’t froze up !
We switched from Amazon sticks to Roku sticks at the first of the year and it's been a fantastic move. The Roku interface is so much better than Amazon's, plus we don't have annoying ads all the time and the apps we use the most don't stick and glitch like they do on the other stick. So when we had the opportunity to upgrade our main entertainment room to this device, we took it. It's a great device and I highly recommend it. The only problem we've had has to do with the remote. I was looking forward to using the remote because of the two programmable buttons and because of the ability to use headphones through it and because it was rechargeable rather than battery operated. However, we are unable to use it because it will not control the volume and power on our stereo receiver like the other remote did. So I'm having to use the old remote with the new Roku device. I know that if you research it, every website I can find says that Roku remote do not control receivers. However, I have found that not to be true. The remote for the 4K stick that we have absolutely controls the volume of our Sony receiver. I tried several different workarounds for the new remote and none of them worked. So last we have a very powerful device that we love, but the very reason we bought it, which was the remote, we cannot use. Most of my friends all have their sound running through a stereo system in their main entertainment room. For us, we use a projector and a screen, so a soundbar wouldn't even work there. It astounds me that a product is great as Roku has not yet figured out how to make their remote controls compatible with stereo receivers.
