I bought the product to slowly wean our house from Cable. That is hard to do as the options still cost money. Still, the Roku interface seems to give a more consistent picture, even though paging through Chanels is a bit more cumbersome.
Sound cuts in and out and is frequently inaudible. I need to unplug the Roku to get the issue to stop. Seems to occur when going to a streaming service that automatically previews selections.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback. If you haven't already, try adjusting settings to tailor the audio settings to your liking. First, visit your Roku home screen and navigate to Settings, then Audio. Next, begin streaming a show or movie, and while it's playing, press the star * button on your remote. Select Sound settings and navigate through the options to adjust your sound modes, speech clarity, and volume modes. This should help you tailor the audio settings to your liking! We hope this helps and appreciate your sharing.
After purchasing a couple of other boxes which I had to return because didn't work for me with my Internet and Lang line connection I wanted, this Roku box fully filled all my needs and so far has been working perfectly. Have had it for 3 months with heavy usage.
I like the device, however the only thing I dislike is the unit is slow to respond to turn on and response time to change content after deleting a program. Also the remote should have numbers to change channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Mike, thank you for taking the time to share. We're happy to help. Try restarting your device by pressing the Home button on your remote, then go to Settings > System > Power > System Restart. Also, restart the remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds to reset your remote. After doing so, pair it again to see if this makes any difference. If the issue persists, feel free to contact us at https://support.roku.com/contactus for more assistance. Thanks again, and Happy Streaming! Roku Customer Advocate
Set up and used for one week. Then the remote quit working (power and volume) with my TV. However, my old Firestick remote still functions with the TV and has never presented these issues.
Further, support is difficult to navigate and find. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps and have nowhere to turn. Additionally, the return process is burdensome.
