Video gets stuck, pausing too long reroutes to ads

There have been countless times where I've fast forwarded or rewound during a program and then the video gets stuck, causing me to have to reboot constantly. I have the latest player. I don't have this problem on my AppleTV. Also, Roku can track when you pause through your HDMI, and if you pause too long when you hit "play" to resume, the unit re-routes you to advertising or the Roku channel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi David, Thanks for sharing with us. We want to know if this issue happens across or on one specific channel. Please try to uninstall and reinstall the affected channel by doing this step. Press Home, navigate your remote, go to the particular app tile, and highlight the app. Then press the star * button and select Remove app. After removing the app, try to restart the system by pressing Home> Setting>System>Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step>System restart. Then, reinstall that specific app by Pressing Home>Search. Additionally, please make sure that your device has the latest Software version. You can refer to this FAQ article, which is available at https://support.roku.com/article/208755668.
If you pause for an extended duration before selecting "play" to resume viewing, the device will redirect you to advertisements or the Roku channel. This behavior is expected. We advise using the back arrow instead of the play button to prevent this occurrence.

I bought the extreme Roku system. It’s well worth the money difference. My TV selections of the Apps are very fast to respond. No lag time at all. I really like the the new remote used. It has a re-chargeable battery. No more adding new batteries. You definitely will not be disappointed that you purchased this excellent system.
