Roku nice but takes some practice

What I like about my Roku: it's a one-time purchase, less that what was my monthly TV cable bill; it's introduced me to different programs through Roku; like the Live TV option; lets me download some applications for some sites I enjoy; works well with my lower WiFi signal; like the voice option. What I don't like: had trouble with initial setup and had to set it aside a couple days, unplugged, before I could try again and get it to connect; have trouble with its schedule of programs for live TV; hard to find program that has a more common word in it's title; has apps listed that I didn't select and would like to remove because it's then hard to find what I want; haven't tackled more advanced options yet.
I have two Roku Ultira, one AA battery operated and one Lithium rechargeable. The AA battery unit ate batteries like crazy until I installed 1.6V lithium AA. The problem was the distance to the remote which stopped working when the AA batteries dropped below 1.3v ,(alkaline @ 1,3V are at 50% while the lithium are fully depleted and last 10x longer. I prefer the AA unit because battery swaps are faster than the 2 hour lithium battery unit recharge. (electric cars have the same problem too)
The 4K TV auto-negotiates to the highest setting of Roku Ultra. and some times hangs at intermediate settings. The progress from 640 (VGA) to 4K is quick, it is deciding if the audio is stereo or Dolby 5.1 that bounced back and forth and hangs at stereo (which does not produce any sound). Other times it hang at screen resolutions that do not display correctly leaving the screen a jagged mess, The ONLY solution is to power off the Roku and TV for a minute and retry.
I like the ear buds that plug into the remote to mute the TV to others. All your remotes should include this feature. I wish I could purchase such a remote separately to use on my ROKU Smart TV which is in our bedroom (I don't know if that is possible but I would like to do that). As you know, the ROKU Smart TV has built-in ROKU and the remote that came with it doesn't have ear bud feature. Is that possible to swap remotes?
