Transitional smoothness

The Roku Ultra is great with one exception.
The old Roku had all the user names and passwords saved for the streaming services we use.
The new Ultra only transferred about 90% of the credentials needed to resume streaming.
The otherb19% was a scramble to fund or update sign on in for before streaming was again allowed.
Never using sign in I for for the past 3 years made finding the information problematic. I am not sure what it would take to find the missing 10% but it sure would enhance the transition.

Best television streaming device

Love the Roku, and have purchased several over the past several years. Roku streaming is fast and high def. This device doesn't need line- of-site with the remote (my Roku is mounted behind the tv). Each new incarnation of the Roku that timely includes updates to make the experience of streaming better and better!

codec support is not uniform

Recent updates removed support for 4k media on flash drive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Volume works with tv

The volume on the Roku remote works with the TV, which is integrated with our Sonos. I like that they all talk to each other and it’s easy to use.

You can get pretty much any app and you can mirror your phone. I don’t really see any buffering like I do with my previous streaming device. I like the voice feature to find things. If we didn’t have so many streaming devices, I would get Roku ultra for all the other TVs.

Unhappy that I can't log into my existing Fox Nation account that I paid for @ Fox. And I can't adjust the sound on my Samsung sound bar
