When setting up this attachment I presumed it was going to be awkward and clumsy. I was truly surprised how wrong I was. I cut the pipes just below the 2x4 with plenty of room to spare between the pipe and the drywall behind it. I was impressed with how clean the cut was with a lot of the self adjusting manual cutters it leaves a ridge, this was not the case with this attachment. Set up was quick and easy and I was able to figure it out quickly without referring to the instructions. It even fit on my impact with the bit holder attached. It is easy to switch to a driver bit as the base attachment has a quick disconnect so you can switch between cutting and screws fast. Swapping the cutting head is very fast and straight forward.

I had to do some plumbing repairs in my own home and it's a lot easier working there just in case of any major screw ups. I opened up the package and gave it the physical test and I thought it was rather durable and strong as can be. It felt solid after the connection was made. I'm thinking that this is going to be a big help. I figured that I would do the entire basement and some of the copper I had stubbed in the kitchen and bath. This gave me a bonus because I got to cut 3/4 inch and 1/2 inch copper. I tell you that it's a great addition to my bumblebee toolboxes. I will let the rest of the guys use it and see how many we need. Thanks again for another fine tool that's easy to assemble and use. On the bad side of things, I just got a new phone and I dropped it in the water while trout fishing. I am using an old flip phone until I get the okay from the dealer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have both the Impact Connect pvc cutter and now the copper cutter. Dewalt handled these tools in a different way. They use your existing impact to drive these tools. Installed mine on an older Dewalt impact and it fit perfectly. I have to admit they are a little clunky as an add on but they actually work really well. The Impact Connect copper cutter zips right through tubing. I have mainly used it for demo as is cuts fast and clean. Like I said it is clunky but once the brace is attached to your impact swapping tools is quick and you can use your impact when the cutter isn’t installed. The ability to use the cutter’s manually is also a great feature for really tight spots. Overall the Impact Connect copper cutter works great and is very efficient.

Super strong head, well built add on to any Impact. Mount comes with built in bit holder, had to modify the belt clip holder side though
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed the ease of use of the attachment. It made quick work of cutting pipe. Im getting older and this saves my wrists from overworking. The cut only takes a few seconds and you're ready to clean the pipe and install. There is a window on the top side that allows you to line up the cutter on your cut line. Changing between 1/2 and 3/4 cutters is done with the flip of a lever. The side opens up you remove one cutter and install the next. This tool not only saved my wrist but lots of time cutting pipe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are working with 3/4” or 1/2” copper tubing aka copper pipe (yes, tubing is pipe). This is much better than the usual manual tubing cutters that are usually the norm. The only problem is that it does require an impact gun to operate so if you are doing things such as inwall and need an impact to drive screws, it is inconvenient. I am also a little annoyed that it is advertised as cutting 1” and the 1” wheel is sold separately. I will gladly buy the separate wheel, but it’s not available yet. Kind of annoying that the advertising doesn’t disclose this fact.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for a plumbing repair in the crawlspace. Workes great on the small space application where you cant get a full rotation from a conventional old school pipe cutter. Pipes up against the wall and had to be replaced.
