The headphones do not isolate incoming noise at all. When on the phone with the headphones, the listener does not hear anything going on in my background.
I picked up the Desert Rose Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite daily-use devices. The premium design, the color concept and the overall quality feel are exactly what I look for in a high-end headset.
Setup was effortless and what I appreciate most is how seamlessly they connect across all my synced devices; Samsung Galaxy Book Ultra, Samsung TV, and Samsung Galaxy Fold Ultra, without any hiccups or delays.
From a comfort standpoint, these were clearly engineered for long hours of enjoyment. The ear cushions, weight distribution and overall build make extended listening sessions easy. Battery life has been reliable and I haven’t found myself needing to recharge as often as I expected.
The clarity and soundstage are standout features. I use the immersive sound mode almost exclusively because it genuinely elevates the listening experience, making music feel fuller, more dimensional and more engaging. Isolation is good, though not perfect; the noise cancellation doesn’t completely wipe out external sound. It’s noticeable but not enough to be a deal breaker.
If there’s one area I wish were stronger, it’s the microphone. It’s decent and gets the job done but for a Bose flagship, I expected a bit more refinement in call quality.
Overall, this is a premium, thoughtfully designed headset that delivers where it matters most comfort, sound and seamless connectivity, with only minor drawbacks that don’t overshadow the experience.
Bought these about two months ago. Overall experience is fair, only qualm is that they skip for 10-15 or so seconds. I’ve turned off multiple point blue tooth, deleted the app and redownloaded it, turned them off and back on as is recommended online but still have the issue. But every 5 minutes or so it skips for approximately 10 seconds. Overall, battery life is great. Very comfortable. And cleared sounds (outside of the skipping).

It is impossible to use in travel, specially on any roads. The headphones will keep making loud thump sound when in Quiet mode, and it becomes worse than a useless product.

Hi there! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you are having with your Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) while traveling. Hearing loud thumping or popping sounds when driving over bumps or traveling on rough roads is certainly not the performance we design our Noise Cancelling products to deliver.
To help reduce or resolve this issue while traveling, here are a few recommended troubleshooting steps and settings to adjust please refer to this helpful article:
I purchased these for a Europe trip and they are just OK. I have a set of the noise canceling ear buds too. They do a better job of noise cancellation. Also, the ear buds sound much better when listening to music. I had a pair of headphones before, not wireless and they seem to also sound better. Not upset about the purchase, but was expecting better all around performance from the noise canceling and music perspective. Tried Sony before buying these but decided to purchase Bose due to a partnership with AMEX and I got a discount.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We're glad you took us along on your trip to Europe, though we’re sorry to hear the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones 2nd gen didn't quite hit the high mark you expected for noise cancellation and sound quality, especially compared to your earbuds.
To ensure you're getting the best possible audio and noise isolation performance, we recommend double-checking the earcup fit to ensure a tight seal around your ears. You can also customize your EQ settings and noise cancellation modes directly through the Bose app to tune the audio to your preference.
