Everything about these headphones are perfect. Sound is impeccable Battery life is impressive Comfort is on point Never dreamed of owning such incredible sound
I bought these to replace my 1st gen Version. Overall the quality is great but they took away two important features. 1. They no longer tell you the battery life when you turn them on. So I have no idea if I have enough juice to get through my next plane ride. 2. You can no longer swipe the earpiece forward to skip a song or tap to pause. Instead you have to use a little button, the same button that changes the noise cancelling and also confused with the Bluetooth button because it’s on the same side.

Hi Ssmith906, thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad to hear you are enjoying the overall quality of your new QuietComfort Ultra Headphones 2nd gen, but we completely understand that you're not familiar when features change between generations.
While the automatic voice prompt at startup has changed, you can still hear a tone if it's already in battery low. You can also see battery status at the Bose App.
The touch strip is now dedicated exclusively to volume adjustments to prevent accidental skips. To pause or skip songs, the multi-function button (the smaller button) is designed with distinct click patterns: press once to pause/play, twice to skip forward, and three times to skip back.
Your preference for the 1st Gen touch gestures and automatic battery prompts is incredibly valuable to us. We have passed this feedback directly to our product and software development teams for future update considerations. Thank you for helping us improve!
