Hotter but burns out quicker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bricks take about half the time to be ready in a charcoal chimney compared to the original bricks which is a plus if you're wanting/needing to get a quicker start. The bricks themselves appear to be infused with wood particles. The only down side I really found using these bricks is it burns out faster than the original bricks also. My next round I will be trying to blend these with original bricks to provide a faster start and higher heat but using the original bricks to hopefully keep me cooking longer as well.

Great for searing steaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband is the grillmaster in our family, and he usually does steaks on the gas grill to get a good sear, but he was very pleased with this charcoal. It burned much hotter than he expected and he is happy to continue using it when he wants to chargrill our steaks.

Takes a while to heat up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this says high heat, but I will warn that it takes a while to get hot. I made some pork on the grill and it took forever to get got. I will say once it is hot it cooks meat very well and even.

Great charcoal

Great charcoal for searing
