Purchased three to work with my two mini split systems, all setup the same. one when you set to 78 tells the head unit 82, one when you set the temp to 78 tells the unit 80 and the third one 76 = 76, 77 = 78, 78 = 80 and 80 = 84. Call tech support, again a waste of time, says its my unit, even after explaining having 3 stats all do different temps yet the original remote works perfectly. And this is designed for ductless. about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike!!

Hi Grif,
It sounds like the offset needs to be adjusted to 0, please see the direction below.
1. Press and Hold + and – for 10 seconds 2. Press the plus button until 12 (Indoor Temperature Display Offset) appears 3. Press O to enter the setting 4. Press + or - to display 0 for this setting 5. Press the O button until the menu exits.

Temp sensor very inaccurate {placed two digital thermostats in same area. I understand the heat pump cannot short cycle but this thermostat runs erratic. At one point the temp was set for 73 and the unit heated to 78. Never any issues with remotes. Waste of money. I wish that I had read the other reviews before buying. How could one pay so much and get such a poor performing device. Quality control issue?

I had a D6 Pro Wi-Fi thermostat installed with a Carrier Mini-Split that I recently purchased. There are always several degrees off between the temp that you ask for versus the temperature that you get. If you set up a schedule, the thermostat turns off the mini split when the time goes for a temperature change. My installer replaced the original thermostat under warranty. The replacement wasn't in long before it began to act up also. Please understand that the mini split works 100% when I am forced to use the remote control that came with the mini split. I called Honeywell support and was told twice that the call was was in excess of (30) minutes, and I could have support call me back. My phone rang, I answered the call and I was immediately disconnected from support. Not only is this a lousy product, but Honeywell doesn't support it either.
D6 does not work with trane split system funtional

Every time I change temperature remotely utilizing the Honeywell Home App for D6, my thermostat for trane system gree xk41 changes from Fahrenheit to centigrade. Very annoying. Can’t get straight answer from Honeywell or Trane. Got to have a better WiFi thermostat for split system somewhere. I use Honeywell 2 rth9580 for standard system and they work great.
This unit works okay with the Daikin ductless unit but none of my android devices can connect. Following the instructions, the setup fails after connecting to the Lyric network. Using the back arrows to return to the home screen, the app complains that there is no internet connection. Duh! if i paid for this app I would ask for a refund.
Im using 9 of these controllers for new Samsung Mini Splits and Cassettes. Each thermostat has its on personality. No two work the same. Sometimes they work well sometimes they let the temperature run in either direction. The app just sucks.. Period. You get better data using the Samsung Smart Things app. Im constantly looking for an alternative.
Does not control all the functions of my carrier split system. Also, there seems to be a calibration area in terms of getting the accurate temperature report
