The book needs improvement with spiral

The construction of the book was below quality. The pages refuses to turn. The pages are almost ripping out from the spiral when turning.

What happened to 8-1/2 x 11 notebooks...

I feel cheated when the paper is 8x10 1/2 instead of 8 1/2 x 11... Making it smaller is not a good value...
