So far this is a great case, easy to hold, seems sturdy and drop proof and probably the best case I've ever purchased. Its a little loose on then phone at the top and for that I cant give it a 5 star...I think the back portion should be designed to go from bottom to top to eliminate this looseness

3rd commuter series purchase

I have had 3 other devices using the commuter series and I love how smooth the polycarbonate backing is I typically put my pinky finger under the charging port for stability with one hand so I have no problem with these cases

I am a diehard for OtterBox, and have been using them for years. This case has the same awesome quality materials and feel as is the standard, however it doesn't seem to fit as snugly as they have for my previous phones. The top feels just a little loose, and I actually did drop my phone from a couple feet only for the top part to pop loose and ding the corner of my phone. I'm not sure if it's got something to do with how phones are being made with less space between the screen and the edge, or if I just hit an unlucky weak spot. Regardless, I'm still overall fairly happy with the product, though I also wish it came in more colors!

Way too slippery

I have been buying OtterBox Defender series for my last few phones and have been very pleased with the cases. There is no Defender series for the Moto One 5g Ace, so I purchased the Commuter case.
After a week of use, I am not happy with this case. My main complaint is the slippery backside of the case. With the hard shell on the outside (vs inside on Defender series), when holding the phone with one hand and tapping/typing with your thumb, it easily slips out of your hand. There is no grippiness to the rear cover, and the grips on the sides are minimal. I hope to return this soon and find some other case.
