Oil box cause messes like none other!

I was given this deep fryer for Christmas of 2023. Every time I’ve used it I have had issues with the oil box. Seems like with all the designing that went into this product, you’d know you can just SIT a lid on a box with no seal and not expect it to leak or come off! Why didn’t you make a snap on lid? I had a terrible experience tonight where the lid came off and half the oil went EVERYWHERE! It was down the cabinet, behind the stove. Then oil was in the basket container as well unknown to me, so when I went to clean under it, oil poured out on the floor and on another cabinet. So now I had to clean the entire kitchen and still finish dinner!! I’m more than dissatisfied with this item and highly recommend NO one purchase it! I’m trying to make this as negative as I felt cleaning up OIL everywhere! Everyone know how very difficult oil is to clean up, it’s a nightmare!! So disappointed with All Clad!!!

I absolutely cannot stand the oil box!

I love my fryer! Yes it does have easy clean up and is sure to impress when hosting for others and does a great job at frying food at the right temp…..however I absolutely loathe the stupid oil box and its lack of a great seal! I swear every time I tilt the darn thing to poor the oil back into the fryer the lid pops off and there’s oil spilling out everywhere. Or even when I’m shifting the fryer around oil spills out from the opening at the top of the box where the oil drains into from the fryer. For such an amazing appliance and the name behind it, your guys on the design team need to come up with a better seal on something that has the potential to be incredibly messy and frustrating to clean up. Makes me not even want to use it at all, let alone recommend it to anyone.

This is the 4th fryer I've bought and I know I won't need to try any others - it's fantastic! It's very well-made and I love that the inside is plain stainless steel and not black like my previous ones. it's so much easier to see if/when the oil needs filtering and cleaning is a breeze. Due to the very large fryer basket, the Max oil level is much lower than other brands. The oil filter system couldn't be more simple - just turn the lever to filter then make sure you turn it back again before putting the oil back in (or you'll have a terrible mess to clean up!). You also have to make sure the oil container lid is on properly and that the plastic 'screw' is tightly closed. I doubt there's a better fryer than this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Basket clips

Have not used it yet . But u forgot to add the basket clips to hold the basket over the oil.

Good day. The deep fryer does have a clip like section at the front end of the deep fryer housing closest to the drain lever. To hang the basket you should use the hanger clip that is found about an inch below where the basket handle is. Stopped working after two uses

I'm really angry and annoyed. After tons of research and trying very hard to pick a quality brand, our fryer will no longer turn on. We've only used it twice! We tried the reset button and it still won't work. We paid more expecting quality. We took great care of it, properly cleaned it. So, thanks All Clad. Guess I'm frying in the Dutch oven tonight and I'll try to reach customer service tomorrow.

Does not get as hot as the temperature dial says it should.

I got this for Christmas. I used it yesterday to fry egg rolls. The temperature did not go above 340 degrees. It was purchased, precisely, because it is touted to get to 385 degrees, which is what I needed. We have cleaned the machine and will be putting it back in the box to return it.
