I’m glad I read the reviews before I purchased this. I had been wanting one for the longest time. The temperature problem sounds like the same thing that goes on with my all clad electric skillet. I also have the all clad crockpot….the lid on it doesn’t fit it right. I’m beginning to think all of their electric small appliances are defective!!!!!

Shallow and oil leaks everywhere

Fries fine for a while; it Is shallower than expected and cooking 4-5 chicken thighs the oil is too low and some of the chicken is above the oil. The biggest issue is the oil filtration. I came in after frying one morning and oil was all over the counter. Everywhere. I have no idea what went wrong and there’s no info online on how to fix it. However there are many many other reviews that mention this so it’s not just me, you should expect this. I’d avoid

The fryer is great but the plastic oil tub should be redesigned. The lid comes off too easily. It's almost impossible to pour oil from the container back into the fryer without the lid separating and dumping oil everywhere. Also, the magnetic plug could be a little stronger. It's fallen off a couple of times while cooking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The oil box design is horrible as the lid pops off while trying to empty the oil back into the fryer. Also, the power cord design needs to be revisited as it takes several minutes to connect without it falling off.

How to pour the oil out of the recovery vessel without disaster....

The only problem with this fryer is the oil recovery plastic vessel. When you go to pour out the oil the cover comes off and oil went everywhere on the first try. Second try I tried to hold the lid on but the lid is so flimsy the oil gushed out at the lower edge. To pour out the used oil, take the lid off and carefully pour it out from one corner. Don't unscrew the cap, pour from the opposite corner. Otherwise I love it!

Great Fryer and Classy Looks!

I have owned this for over 2-years and has always worked perfectly. Temp control is easy and the size is just right for 2-4 people. The filtration system and cleaning are both a breeze. I do agree that the oil filter container needs a redesign to leave more room with a full container and a tighter seal to improve transporting.

The first time I used this product the oil ran all over the counter when draining - even after I checked and rechecked the lid and screw. Yes, I used the correct level of oil. In my research prior to buying I saw that many people had this issue, but thought if I was careful I would not have the problem. So, returning it - can’t trust it. Do not recommend.
