Excellent quality but the oil storage bin is a massive headache

So far I’ve used it once to do fried chicken. I filled up to the “max” line to submerge the chicken as much as possible. I was really impressed with how quickly the oil heated, and the final product came out delicious. The operation of the machine is pretty intuitive.
I echo all of the frustrations previously mentioned about the oil drum. Shame on me for not noting that the container is NOT big enough to hold the max level of oil. Fried chicken oil is dirty and messy after use, so I filtered it after just one fry. The oil overflowed the pan and then ran all over the inside of the fryer, on to my kitchen counter and then the floor. It was a beast to get clean. I’m almost always going to be frying with the max level of oil, so I guess I’ll just have to ladle 1/3 of it out, filter what’s left, empty it, and then put the second batch in to filter? How hard would it have been to make the container big enough to fit the max level of oil??? I admit I’m having buyer’s remorse on this one.

Well, I was really excited to get this product. My husband wanted me to make some fried zucchini. I got the appliance set up to use, turned on the power and nothing. Tried to use the reset button as directed but still no power. I even tried another electrical outlet. I sent it back for a replacement. The fryer seems really well made but it is huge. I really don't fry that often but thought this would be nice to have when I do.

Over 56 years of marriage and cooking, my husband still love his deep fryer options. We have had 4 other fryers, but nothing compares to the cooking and filtered oil process of this All-Clad EZ Fryer. It is much cleaner cooking and the filter always fresh oil every time. I have a counter air fryer and a full fryer oven option, but you cannot beat real potato fries in the EZ fryer. Even onion rings residue is filtered out! Thanks!

Actually a well-designed and well-made appliance. The SINGLE "missing star" is because of the awful documentation. We had to learn by trial and error how to use it without making a giant mess (which we did the first time). I know it's made in China, but AllClad could have invested an hour in writing a manual!

Defective fryer. I received the fryer without the temperature controls and part of the framing missing. I sent the item back and did not receive a refund or exchange. Going to contact my credit card company to address the issue.
