I have owned 4 of these travel mugs and I love them. My beverages stay hot or cold for hours.I haven't experienced a spill yet and I am known to just toss them in my bag. However, to effectively clean the mug you have to remove the tiny rubber stopper. Guard that stopper with your life because once it is gone, the mug is useless. You have to buy a replacement lid which has not been in stock in for weeks. This only leaves me the option to purchase yet another mug and I may not be doing that anytime soon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't get me wrong, It keeps my coffee hot all day long but I had an auto-seal from Keurig for years before purchasing this and clumsy me forgets (even after 8 months) that this one doesn't have that and have had too many embarassing accidents with it.

I purchased two of these this size. The rubber grip came loose on these. I also have the same problems with the two 16 oz. cups I have. It then get water u see it and mold developes. I have to now let air dry for a day and the water still is under the grip which then creates mold which is disgusting. I hand wash these as I do not have a dishwasher. I hope contigo can do something about this. I hate having this issue as I like the way the cups keep my drinks hot and cold. I usually have something cold in one and keep it by my bed at night. I fill the 16 oz with coffee and the 24 oz. I believe it is with cold drink when I sub at the school. It is difficult to open but I like that feature as the smaller kids can’t get in my drink.

I've wanted a Contigo travel mug for a long time and finally broke down for this one. I got mine in copper, which is a beautiful finish, but I will worry about scratches and cosmetic damage over time.
Leak proof durability seems legit so far, and I enjoyed discovering that the "plug" for the drinking spout is squishy, so there is considerably less margin for leak proof wear and tear over time, as might be the case with a hard plastic plug.
I have yet to put the temperature control to a real test, but I suspect it will be acceptable, judging by the fact that my only-kinda-cold coffee from this morning is still exactly as only-kinda-cold as when it was poured.
Can't wait to collect more reusable wonder mugs in the future.
The mug keeps my coffee hot but the problem is the lid. I can’t drink anything hot as the lip touch’s my upper lip and burns my lip. I have never had this problem before with any other mug.

Liquids only stay hot for a few hours and need reheating, it keeps things cold better. The lid is hard to clean especially if you have smoothies or soup. Lid is absolutely not leak proof. When I use these mugs I feel like I'm handling an egg because even the slightest tip or tilt will cause the contents to spill. Not good if you have an active lifestyle or work. I've ruined clothing and bags because of this and this is my 2nd mug with this issue.

These bottles tick all my boxes: non-plastic, good seal, easy-open drink hole, easy on/off lid, and large opening for easy cleaning. But it also has great insulation so it keeps drinks hot or cold for hours, and a good rubber grip. Everyone who sees this bottle wants one too - we feel part of a quickly-growing Contigo family around us!
Can I start by saying that many other products stand on their promise of how long they can keep things hot or cold...we are HOT Liquid drinkers at my house! LOTs and LOT's of coffee and tea all times of day and when I say that Contigo keeps my tea/coffee HOT...not warm, or lukewarm or anything remotely less than HOT when I use it...all DAY! An example would be that I have poured my tea in early a.m., take it the office on a hour long drive to work, leave the office without it for an off site meeting for approximately 4 hours, get back to work and ignored my goodness in a couple for the rest of the day, drive home in now an 1.5 hour ride home and then at dinner...I popped it open, fully expecting cold or room temp tea and NOPE...still HOT! Since then, I only use these and that was 4 years ago! You won't be disappointed. REMINDER for those saying it liquid burned them, it will if you seal the cup as soon as you pour something hot in it. As it says on the directions, pour your hot beverage and leave the lid off while you pack your lunch or something, a few minutes later pop it on and it should be the temp you want it to enjoy immediately without any problems. Also, with regards to cleaning, especially stubborn coffee stains. I leave the lid in a light bleach solution so it gets to the parts I can't reach. For cup I do lemon or vinegar solution to get the coffee or black teas stains out of it. BINGO..good to go!
