Great design but...

After using this mug for 4 months the gasket in the lid bevins to leak. I have had numerous burns from hot coffee or tea leaking around the lid, I also had a coffee spill when the cup tipped over and hot coffee ultimately sprayed out of the leak all over my desk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When the description says that it keeps hot beverages warm for 7 hours, it's not lying. This mug delivered. I made tea at 8 a.m., worked at an all day fundraising event and when I got back in my car my tea was just as hot as when I'd made it that morning.

Never before have I had a travel mug not only stay safely inside without leaking but also stay hot ALL DAY! I pour tea at 8 AM and by five it's still warm enough not to be gross! Great product!!!

Drink hole too small; hard to drink

I find the design of the lid to be awkward. The hole is so small you have to gulp. So much air is taken in just to get a sip. Never had this problem with any other lid but Contigo.Two mugs and I end up taking the lid off to drink, defeating the purpose of the leakproof lid. The stainless steel is hot! I've also burned my lip fooling around with the awkward design. Otherwise I love the radiant orchid color and overall look of the mug.

Great Travel Coffee Mug

Excellent heat retention! I wake up around 0430 in the morning to workout and cannot drink my coffee until I have breakfast so this mug is great for that! Over 6 hours later and my coffee is piping hot just like it came straight from the coffee maker! The seal is awesome, I can mix my sweetener and creamer in when I'm ready to drink! Contigo's Lifetime Guarantee makes this even better in case years down the road, my mug is not performing as well as it does now! Thanks for the great travel mug Contigo!

I have had mine for a little over a year now and love it everytime! It keeps the liquids secure and hot! My only complaint is the paint. I don't throw mine around or slam it down but just from washing and wear and tear the bottom of the mug has chipped paint. The new matte black mug looks to solve this problem with a stainless stell circle around the the bottom. Its minimal and doesn't affect the performance. Love it!
