I find most ball point (BIC) pens require "break-in" out of the box. Mist scribble to get the ball rolling/unstuck. These pens work out of the box no scribbling required.

Not happy with these pens. It was hard to get the ink to flow. Every time of trying to use I would repeatedly shake the pens and try scribbling with them to start the ink to flow. Even after getting them to start working they would stop and I would try again. After trying half the box over several days I gave up and threw the rest of them out. Should not have to go through so much to see when and if the pen would work. Not good quality. I do not recommend these pens.
