The price was excellent for the dozen pens. From a grip perspective- fine; However - Need to hold pen nearly vertical for best writing making them less of a value.

I bought this because I liked the way it looks plus it was only 97 cents for a dozen. So I bought three dozens of each color. The pens are cheaply made and writes that way as well. If I press too hard you can see the barrel is fragile and would come apart easily and would break easily as well. Oh well for 97 cents I should not be expecting endurance of the product.

I had bought a dozen of these about a year ago and I was amazed how smooth-writing they were for such an inexpensive ballpoint pen. Then I bought a new batch the other day [for which I am doing this review] and I found that they were not quite as smooth. The original dozen had a smooth round black barrel and these new ones have a 'satin' finish area where you grip the pen. If you have changed the way you make these please go back to the old way. However to be fair they are still a good deal for the price and quality.
