The battery has jot held up. It just quick working abt 2 weeks ago for some reason. Very disappointed batteries are expensive and I can’t afford to buy another one so I guess I’ll just get something cheap to use

I got the 2.5AH 40V battery as a backup for my Skil battery operated lawn mower. This is just in case my 5.0AH 40V goes bad. This way I don't have to gamble that a store will have one on the shelf, or that it might take 3 to 4 days for shipping. I love the 2 year warranty on the batteries!

The weed eater and blower I purchased are great, but a battery started leaking black fluid shortly after the warranty period expired. I had really expected longer life from a battery from Skil.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery does not get 2 hours as specified. If grass is thick you might get an hour. The good thing is it charges quickly.

The battery stopped working while using it. When I tried to recharge it, the charger stopped working. I had (have) to use both the charger & battery that came w/ another piece of yard equipment. So, I have 2 tools, but only 1 charger & battery that work. Ugg.
