While somewhat heavy, this 40volt battery lasts a long time. After 30+ minutes of full throttle blowing, the built in fuel guage still showed 50% charge remaining. This is the second SKIL Tool I've purchased (the other is the 40volt string trimmer), and I'm impressed with the performance and quite satisfied with both purchases.
I would recommend this to a friend!

These units are made cheap battery wise so that you have to replace the battery at a cost equal to buying the whole unit every 2 years. I won't be buying another one.

Blown away by how bad the 2.5ah battery is

I have had the PWR core 40 blower now for 2 years. It came with the worst battery i have ever used. This battery does not live up to the Skil name. So disappointing. I took it off the charger and pressed the button in it and it told me if was fully charged, 4 green bars. Just as soon as i conected it to the blower and checked the power again it read 2 green bars.. I hadn't even used it yet, i It gave me 12 minutes worth of use before it died. I have never gotten more then 15 minutes use from the battery since i bought the blower..so then i have to get out my gas back pack blower to finish the job . A more reliable machine. I bought the Skil blower because i had surgery on my lower back and the blower was to heavy for my back. I have read a lot of negitive reviews on this battery. I would not recommend this product. I have read that you want customers to get in tough with you throught social media. i don't do social media if you and to contact me you can get me through my e-mail
