Using this 2.5 Ah battery gave very performance with the chainsaw. The chainsaw kept stopping while cutting so I switch to the 5 Ah battery though heavier it kept the chainsaw cutting without stopping while cutting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

saw and pole are fine. Issue is the battery. It lasts just until warranty is up. warranty is 2 yr and it dies after 2.5yr. Cost as much as the pole itself.

Barely finish drive before it stop blowing

Very powerful and long lasting battery. This battery will power the polesaw longer than you can use it without a break. I have used it continuously for over an hour without recharging.

Longer charging time than expected

Good for small projects. If the battery runs out you need to wait "at least" an hour. In my case, it's been charging now for 72mins and it finally is now at the last stage. Only used this battery 4x's since I've bought this. Not impressed. I have to go back to gas powered.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had battery replaced under warranty as the one that came with my pole saw died. The replacement battery works good. I rotate all batteries through my mower and pole saw as needed to cycle them regularly and keep them healthy.
