The battery has plenty of AH for the leaf blower. However, the 2.5AH does not give enough minutes of usage time on my yard. For blowing the sidewalks, patio and driveway I do have enough usage time. However, if I need to blow leaves off the lawn or out of the street gutter, I have to recharge the battery. I will be looking into buying a 5.0AH battery so I will be able to use the blow without recharging the 2.5AH battery.

I use this battery for the Power Core 40 blower and weed trimmer. The battery seems to last about 30 minutes when using the blower and trimmer at full power. The charger features indicate when charging and when fully charged. I like the battery level indicater as I can estimate how much time I have left before recharging. It takes about an hour to recharge. After each use I recharge no matter the battery level so it is full charge and ready to go the next time. I would like a bit more operating time thus the 4 star rating. (I realize I can purchase the 5AH battery for increased operating time)

Battery and Blower Combo Beats the Competition

I purchased the battery and blower as a set after returning a similar Ryobi blower that was too weak. The Skil PWR Core 40 Battery and blower are a powerful combo. They do a great job for lighter yard work and I’m looking forward to blowing snow off the cars in the winter. My only complaint is that on full power you’ve got to work quickly because the battery is depleted within 25-30 min. That said, the charging station will charge the battery faster than any charger I’ve ever owned. So overall it’s a great battery and blower.
