Best Ice Ever!

Great product and makes ice quickly. Would be better if first water filter was included. Recommended cleaning and descaling is fairly frequent too but good for keeping your ice tasting fresh.

It's so loud!

I absolutely love the ice, and the ice maker produces ice quickly. The noises this thing makes though, throughout most of the day, are annoying - loud screeching sounds! With the side tank, I have to fill with water about once every 2 days - not too bad, but I wouldn't frown on a bigger side tank.Setup was easy
I would recommend this to a friend!

ALWAYS HAVING A VERY LOUD NOISE, NO MORE THAN 1 CUP OF ICE AND IT FREEZES UP AND THE LIGHT TURNS YELLOW - I AM VERY, VERY UNHAPPY THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE NUGGET ICE MAKER FOR NO RESULTS

Works Like a Champ

The setup was extremely easy. The added reservoir reduces the time necessary to refill the ice maker.
We love the nugget-sized ice cubes and it is easy to store in the freezer.
Since we use bottled type water, we hope that having to clean it less often will prevail.
The ice making, once it gets started is pretty fast and fills the maker's bin quickly.
We are loving it.

Our best friends have had the first gen Opal Ice Maker for over a year and absolutely love it. We have used it many times while partying with them so we finally took the leap and got one of our own. We used it Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and did not turn it back on yesterday. Each day it will fill partially with ice and then start to make a loud grinding/banging noise like something is jammed up. We have tried to figure out if it is indeed jammed, but there's no way to tell what is happening. We turn it off, let it sit for a little bit, and eventually when we turn it back on it will produce ice again for a bit before it starts to make the same noise. I'm afraid we got a dud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great ice maker!

Purchased one for my home and liked it so much purchased another one for my office! Would recommend this product if anyone is looking for an ice maker. It conveniently fits on your counter under top cabinets.
