Product is great at making ice and makes enough. Only reason for a four star review is that the only issue I have is in drying the side container.. It should have been designed better. I’ve had it upside down drying for 4 days now.

As this is my second Ge Opal icemaker I feel confident in my rating of 5 stars. My first Opal icemaker lasted over 5 years, and I even took it with me on vacation.

New unit seems to work .

This is a replacement unit The first one was a mess , couldn’t turn it off water leak on side tank the h internal hose was not connected, would not shut off when water was empty.

Not worth the hype or the price! Less than 1 star

I have been through 2 opal ice machines since July 2022. Both quit working and have constant issues. Initially warranty replaced the first unit, then the replacement unit started having the same issues. Ge will not back their replacement since I am behind 1 year of purchase of the first unit in July 2022.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect soft ice

Makes perfect ice and makes it quick. It does make a bit of noise of course so putting it on your kitchen countertop might not be the best place. I put ours in the laundry room counter. Again, exactly as expected and awesome ice.
