Great for hosting parties and quick fresh ice

The ice is perfect size! It doesn’t take hours to make. Love the water side tank! This is a great feature to keep the ice flowing. Great for holidays and can make enough ice for the event

Great ice machine for crunchy ice

This is our second Opal. The first one lasted us just over 5 years and we are looking at repairing it, but saw a great deal to get this new one and jumped on it. The Opal makes the softest "Sonic" style ice we have found anywhere and with the extra filtration the ice flavor is pure as well. We absolutely love this machine!

Horrible product that doesn’t last long

Already broke down 6 months ago. Cleaned regular and only used distilled water for ice nuggets. Do not suggest anyone buying this. Brother in law purchased one at the same time and his already broke down too. Do the research and you will find that this product should have been a recall!

My Opal ice machine has not worked right from day one. It makes a little bit of ice then switches to running water and melts any ice that was made.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
