Amazing ice maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So... I didn't realize what I'd been missing my entire life! I love the ice in sodas from certain restaurants (you know, the kind of ice that keeps the drink cool, doesn't melt quickly, and has a soft gentle crunchy texture that doesn't hurt your teeth), but I didn't know there was anything that could make this kind of ice at home! This ice maker makes that kind of ice! In fact, I'd say it's even better because I use clean, filtered water, so I know exactly what is going into my ice machine. It's a pretty compact design and looks great on my counter. This is the king of all ice makers!

The GE Profile™ Opal™ Nugget Ice Maker with Side Tank is amazing it gives you perfect bite size ice like you find in fast food restaurants! it's so easy to set up and use, you can have perfect nugget ice in 30 min! I love chewing ice (drives my husband nuts! lol) this makes every soda delicious and chewing the ice is like a little treat! super clean design and fits in anywhere in your kitchen! if you like fountain drinks and chewing ice this is a must have I absolutely love it!

Great for parties

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to start by saying this thing is great for parties or a get together. I have some pros and cons of my own opinion. The pros are it runs ice fairly quickly and it’s the best ice I’ve ever had. The recycle feature is great since it doesn’t keep the ice frozen in the bin. The cons are minimal as in it needs deep cleaning before use and quite often which can be time consuming. The other being that it’s simply an ice maker, so it doesn’t keep the ice frozen after it is made. Overall it’s a great machine and works as it should every time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My life has totally changed with this counter top nugget ice maker, Now I do not have to worry about ice, I don’t have to go to store and buy ice, It is super easy to put on my counter, easy to move, take less space ,super easy to install, it’s a very smart ice maker that makes my kitchen or refrigerator room adorable. A portable ice maker is great for any party.
No water hookup required, just plug it into any 120v grounded (standard) electrical outlet and fill the reservoir with water. Within only 20 minutes, I enjoy soft and crunchy ice.
The Opal produces 24 lbs. of ice per day, and the bin holds 3 lbs.
This is a very decent choice to get this gadget and make your own Ice.
I am very satisfied and would highly recommend it.

Love this ice machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is fantastic. It is super fast and true to its word, within 20 minutes it starts to drop ice. The ice is small nuggets that are perfect for putting in things or eating. Having the side tank is absolutely amazing because the machine continuously pulls until the bin where the ice is stored is full. If there is no water, the machine does make a loud sucking noise seeking water. It also does not have a cooling element so the ice does not stay chilled. You have to take it out of the machine and put it in the freezer or a cooler or else it will melt. The instruction manual is also a little confusing. It’s a little vague so it’s a bit of trial and error.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This GE Profile Opal Nugget Ice Maker with Side Tank is fabulous! Stainless steel is very nice looking. It is easy to use and maintain. They recommend cleaning the tank and main machine once a week for health purposes. From start to a full ice bin took about 3-4 hours. Comes with a handy scoop. Wish there was a place to keep the scoop. If you keep it in the ice bin it gets covered. So we let it sit out on the drip tray. Not too noisy. Really loving this machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice maker is seriously a dream. I've had other counter-top ice makers in the past but they were difficult to clean and always leaked. The set up of the Opal was very easy and the cleaning/care is very straight-forward. The Opal produces ice around 15 minutes after being turned on but takes around 3-4 hours to fully fill up the bin. The side tank has a magnet that allows it to be docked on either the right or left-hand side of the Opal depending on user preference. The ice itself is wonderful, perfect chewable ice.
One thing to note is that it does put out a significant amount of heat while making ice but cools down when not in an ice-making cycle.
Highly recommend.

Best ice maker ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with this ice maker! I never knew I could get my favorite soft pellet ice at home until I found the GE Opal Nugget Ice Maker. Set up was super easy, and I liked how the instructions show you how to clean out the machine. The side tank is great, so I don't have to change out the water so much. The machine is a little noisy when first starting up, but in general, it's pretty quiet. My only complaint is that the drawer of the ice machine is not on a rail so when you pull it out, you have to be careful not to pull out the whole thing and spill ice everywhere. Overall, I love this product and I highly recommend to anyone who craves that soft drink nugget ice!
