Loving it so far...still learning all of it's functions/balance with matching Bose earbuds. Sound is crisp and clear. Once I get the hang of these settings, I'd bet that I'll raise my rating to 5☆'s... :))))
Setting up the Bose Smart Soundbar was straightforward, which was a relief. Before upgrading, I was using a 28-year-old receiver with a digital output to a pair of classic Bose bookshelf speakers. Comparing the new soundbar to my old setup, I found the difference to be only marginally better. The stereo quality did improve, but I couldn’t notice any change when adjusting the height setting on the equalizer through the app—no matter what I tried.
As someone who's been a loyal Bose fan for years, I have to admit I was disappointed. I expected a top-tier app experience from Bose, but the reality didn’t match up. I agree with some other users: the Bose app is lacking. After a few days of use, I started experiencing issues with the app on my iPhone—both the soundbar and my Bose Ultra Open Earbuds kept disconnecting. I reloaded the app, but even then, it was a challenge to get both products to sync properly.
At one point, I seriously considered returning everything, but I decided to give it a few more days to see if things improved. My old receiver has been unreliable lately, so I need to figure out a long-term solution.
In my opinion, the Bose Connect app really needs some work. It’s far from perfect, and Bose should prioritize a major update to fix these issues.
Got this as a Xmas present & I absolutely love it! Been reliving The 1975 Still at their very best tour on streaming and it's like I'm there all over again. ❤️
Bought this Bose speaker 2 weeks ago and still getting use to it. Sound quality not what I expected. Thought it would be much better. Has no bass unless you spend a couple hundred more for the bass speaker add on. Way over priced and under performing. Would not have bought it if I could have heard it first.
