This very pricey unit given me issues from the beginning the first issue was the door peeling and that has been replaced twice and is peeling again.then circuit board went out that was replaced and last but most important the inside of the microwave is chipping in the inside which is ridiculous and scary who wants paint chips in their food I have called and all I hear is you are out of warranty mam. Well thanks I know that but I have had a very faulty product from the beginning I went out of my way to make sure I went with GE products when we purchased our home and now I regret it tremendously.

Repaired 3 Times Still Have Problems

I inherited this device from a prior owner. Nothing but problems. Had the repair person out 3 times to fix the microwave and oven for a variety of issues. Now we have a recurring F3 error. Replacing this appliance with a separate microwave and oven from a different manufacturer. Been unhappy with GE.

Scary and Frustrating!

Scary morning! Noticed a burning smell and realized it was coming from microwave. It was off but making a soft humming sound and I opened the door it was so hot inside that the plastic plate cover was melted to the turntable. It will stop with door open but continues with door closed all while being off! Microwave isn’t sold separately as it’s a complete unit. So now after 11 years, we have to replace oven and microwave! I no longer trust GE and will shop for another brand. It’s terrifying to think what could have happened if it had done this during the night. I’m thankful I was home!

Almost burnt my house down

I’ve had my home warranty repair this unit 3 times. Still having issues. It’s scary. Now seeing others have had the same issue I think this in it should be recalled!

Paint peels and falls in your food/drinks

Its so bad. Did you ever recall this microwave? Paint is peeling and falling from the ceiling of the microwave. I see this is a common problem with this model.

Great Wall Oven/Microwave Combination

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are extremely pleased with this electric wall oven/microwave combination. It was easy to install and performs great. It replaced a similar 11 year old model that did not have convection cooking but was still functioning perfectly. The reason we replaced it was we upgraded our black appliances with stainless.
This newer model cooks perfectly and keeps the kitchen cooler than the previous model. This is important to us, especially during our hot Arizona summers. We love the convection option as most items baked cook in the specified time and evenly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the inside of the unit but the oven door is hideous

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't wait to get a stainless steel oven/microwave combination. I have had tremendous satisfaction from my 13 year old GE microwave/oven combo. I researched the JTP90spss because it looked so much nicer than this model. But it lacked so many features compared to the pt970srss.
The designer should be fired. How did this ugly door (looks like a fishbowl/bathosphere window) ever get approved? Hate Hate Hate the look. Shame on GE. This model should use a more stainless steel look instead of a shiny black blob hitting you in the face when you walk into the kitchen

The auto probe is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced the same model which was ten years older. I was bummed that both the microwave and oven had to be replaced when it was just the microwave that stopped working. This new model is excellent. I love the auto sensor probe, where you insert the thermometer into the meat you are cooking and set the oven to the internal temperature. It stops when it hits that temperature. So far, perfect every time. I cooked an 18 lb. Thanksgiving turkey this way and it was done in under three hours on convection. It was incredible and delicious. I can't speak for how well it bakes cakes and such because I am not much of a baker. One of the lightbulbs burned out within the first three months but it was easy to change.
I would recommend this to a friend!
