Disappointed

We also have the same microwave and oven GE profile PT970SRSS and the microwave stopped working yesterday after not even 6 years since we had in installed, and with very little use for 2 retirees at home.
We do not have the money to replace the set as someone has asked previously. We tried to reset the breaker as suggested and it didn't help!
Is there anything you can do to help us? We tore out a perfect working condition double ovens to put this in, only to have it last a few years.

Nothing but problems with the microwave

The oven has been fine since it was installed. But the microwave has been nothing but problems. We have to have it repaired about once a year. I'm sure it has cost us more in repairs than it is actually worth at this point.

Microwaved stopped working

After on a few years of use, the microwave stopped working. It's unfortunate that this has occurred considering the cost of these units and they always seem to break when the warranty has ended! It's equally disappointing that the entire unit would need to be replaced!

Microwave issues

Just like all of the other reviews, our microwave stopped working. The light, turntable, keypad controls, and motor all work- but food stays cold and does not cook. For the amount we paid for this product, this is unacceptable! I even checked for recalls on this unit after reading the reviews of so many dissatisfied customers like us! This needs to be addressed!!!

Fantastic Convection oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly wish the microwave was also a convection oven. But the lower convection oven works beautifully. I never have to rotate my foods for even cooking. It perfectly cooked 3 dishes on all 3 racks at the same time. I was amazed. So functionality-wise it's 5 stars. However, the "look" of the arched viewing windows really bothers me. It's distracting and not sleek/modern/minimal. It's an eye sore in my opinion in my newly remodeled kitchen, but I had to chose from the GE appliance line and I needed a double microwave/oven wall unit. This was my only option. So, GE, get with your designer and have them tweak this a little to create a truly stellar product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Paint chipping off the top inside the microwave.

The paint on the inside top of my microwave is chipping and flaking off. Model and Serial number is listed on the attached photo. After looking through your website, it appears this is a complaint from several customers and not a one-time occurrence. You referred others to a link which states painting and chipping are of no concern and it does not pose a health risk. I do not prepare my food with paint chips; therfore, I do not want to have them fall into my food.
This unit is very pricey and to have this issue after 3 years is unacceptable. This is a safety concern since I do not know the paint ingredients and to state it complies with Government regulations does not solve the issue, nor does it give me anymore confidence it's safe!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] food comes out perfectly, have had great success with salmon, chicken breasts, turkey burgers, and much more - there is a learning curve, keep the manual handy or download the PDF to iBooks, hard to clean the inside, outside is typical stainless steel level of cleaning difficulty
