[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed Linux Mint 22 right out of the gate, never installed the supplied Windows 11. Mint installed flawlessly, without a catch, and runs like the wind. The only thing I can't get running is the fingerprint scanner.
Mint has no telemetry whatsoever versus Windows 11 where it just cannot be turned off, only "minimized". Not to mention no adverts anywhere. No flashy flashy little boxes doing who knows what.
I have used Windows since 3.0 in 1990. I am now done with Windows. Nice laptop. Using Linux Mint.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty solid machine, fast in response, 360 hinge he's very convenient for switching from laptop mode into a portable screen mode. However not sure how long the hinge will last. The weight is a bit too heavy to hold in hand as a tablet for a 16 inch laptop, but good for work on the desk.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a smaller and powerful second laptop, since my main one is too heavy to carry around. I have to use various CAD software as well as Finite Element Analysis simulations for my courses and personal projects. I also have to use microsoft office apps all the time and need good battery life. To my surprise, the IdeaPad can run all these tasks. I wasn't expecting it to run ANSYS smoothly and programming apps, since that's why I have my other laptop, but it works perfectly with everything. It is light and easy to carry and the Pen is a nice addition.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this laptop for my twins before heading off to college. It is running fast and cool and not too heavy. At first they were worried it was a bit big but it is really nice to have the larger screen and they LOVE to flip it over and use it as a drawing pad. I was not sure how much they would use that feature but I bet half of the time they have been using it that way.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this laptop for university and it (so far) has worked perfectly! I am a master's student studying film and needed something that would be able to run my editing software while also having other tabs open and this laptop has done just that! No complaints so far but I also haven't tried using it to its full capacity yet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice laptop. This is my first upgrade from an old 2013 HP Envy, and it certainly is nicer than that. The keyboard is nice for a laptop, touchscreen is also very convenient. As for the screen quality, it has a very nice image/brightness. At first, I was worried about folding the laptop all the way around, but it is very convenient for note taking on PDFs or documents, and it is nice that the laptop recognizes its orientation however you go to hold it. The cpu is fast enough for the tasks I've given it so far, haven't done any stress tests on it and only played a few light games. The build quality is quite sturdy, so I'm sure it will last for me. I was a bit disappointed that the Microsoft Office addon that I ordered didn't mention anywhere that it was only a 1 year service instead of the permanent one. I definitely think the website should mention that clearly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outstanding product for the price. The 57Wh battery lasts over 7 hours for general browsing tasks and the Lenovo digital pen 2 makes it super easy to take notes. The Ryzen 7 8845HS processor also packs a punch!
This rare gem from Lenovo offers an unbeatable configuration for the $600-700 price range than other well known brands including HP, Dell and Asus. The screen display (IPS) and resolution are also impressive.
Overall, this is the best specced laptop available in the market for the price range. A must buy for sure.
