[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Computer keeps taking a dive off the deep end. We bought 2 of these and they have been to the shop 3 times since March. The issue has been the same every time. It can't recognize the boot drive and won't load from recovery media either leading me to think it's the hard drive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful and quick machine, and the touchscreen combined with the way it flips is a total game-changer.
A New Way to Use a Laptop!
The Touch Screen Magic: This was new for me, and I love it! Being able to just reach out and tap the screen instead of always using the little mousepad makes everything feel so easy and fast.
The Flips and Folds: This is the fun part! The screen folds all the way around. I love propping it up in "tent mode" to watch a movie or a cooking show while I'm making dinner. It's a really cool feature.
Size & Look: While it has a big, lovely 16-inch screen that's great for seeing everything clearly, it doesn't feel overly large.
How It Works
The Speed: It's fast enough for everything I need, tons of emails, watching shows, having a million browser tabs open. I haven't had it slow down on me yet.
The Keyboard: Thank goodness, it has a numeric keypad (a lifesaver for my budgeting). The keys are comfortable for long typing sessions.
Sound: The speakers actually sound really good! They're loud enough to fill the room when I'm streaming a favorite show.
The Battery: It’s solid, and I can usually get through a good chunk of the day without scrambling for a plug. The "Rapid Charge" feature is a godsend for a quick power boost.
Final Word
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 is a smart, dependable laptop that's perfect if you're looking for great speed, a big screen, and the absolute joy of that touchscreen and 2-in-1 flexibility. It’s the perfect step up if you want to try out a touchscreen computer. I love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is really the perfect choice for many uses! I use it primarily for work--tutoring online and other educational uses--but also find it so easy to use for other reasons such as online shopping, streaming, and creating. It's honestly equal to or superior to tablets I've had--regarding intuitive nature, responsiveness, etc. I love the bigger screen than a typical 10-inch tablet, and it's so easy to flip and switch back and forth to tablet and laptop. I was hesitant about purchasing a single device for all my purposes but am absolutely thrilled with my choice.
It was a beautiful disaster. The first week it was great, then it started asking me to set a new pin every time it powered down. Went online and turns out its a known issue that Lenovo won't fix, they just sell it cheap hoping people will just deal with it, but it's extremely annoying to have to get a new pin every time it needs powering up.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience on the IdeaPad 5. I'm really sorry to hear about the frustration with the PIN reset issue. That’s definitely not the kind of experience we want anyone to have, especially after a promising start with the device. We understand how frustrating it must be to set a new pin every time the system powers down. We are committed to resolving the issue as quickly as possible. If you haven't already, please get in touch with our customer support team at 1-855-253-6686. We look forward to addressing any concerns and resolving the issue. Regards, Thomas, Lenovo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is an excellent value. I am coming from a ~$3K mac (from a few years ago) and needed a backup. Yes the OS is different; and the exteriror cannot take as much abuse. But the price is 1/5 to 1/6. No problems driving laptop + 4K display + many apps.
