Splits logs really well. Only problem is that the logs need to be of a certain length. It's the usual length but I got a load of wood that was shorter. I took some hardwook and put it between the short wood and the splitter and it worked like a breeze

I ordered this splitter for larger pieces of firewood which I wanted to cut down for kindling. This is prefect I am a 55 yrs old woman and I put a 6 inch piece of wood in the holder and pulled the handle back and forth and the wood split so easily . I contuinued to split about 10 more pieces . I no longer need to buy the little bags of fat wood for kindling I just make my own now . Thank you Sun Joe for a great product.
