We burn about 5 cords a season. Most of the time I use a 5 ton electric splitter, but there are times when the rounds are too tough for the splitter or too heavy for me to lift up. Then I turn to the Sun Joe. It's slower but almost always can power through. I lent my Sun Joe to an old-timer who was splitting all his wood with a maul. He was so pleased that he saved $ from his SS check and bought his own.

The splitter works as advertised. I have split different size logs with no problem. My problem is with the quality of manufacture. When I received the splitter it had a piece of rubber along the bottom to allow it to be placed on concrete and not slide around. The strip on mine was installed so crooked that it over hanged the base. It did not stop the operation of the splitter but was extremely unsightly so I ripped it off. Now I have to put a mat under the splitter.

This log splitter is very simple to use. I’ve only had it for a few weeks now and have split about a half cord with it. It rolls easily on black top but for me, not on to well off of it. Maybe an attachment for bigger wheels for moving it on the ground better. But I like a lot!
