The sound bar is linked to my TV through the digital output cable. So now when I turn up the volume on the TV, the sound bar goes up. Great sound for my poor hard of hearing ears.
I got this for Christmas as my Bose Soundbar 300 died after 2 or 3 years of normal use. I took the 300 apart, checked everything, nothing appeared to be burned out, tested the power supply, tried every YouTube resetting video, it just wouldn't turn on. Even though everything appeared fine, it was completely dead.
I got the new TV speaker for Christmas, noticed that Bose no longer has a power supply, the 120 volt cord plugs directly into the speaker now. Leads me to believe they had problems with the 300, or are saving money now with this new configuration. The sound was great.....for a week. Then, it just died, wouldn't turn on. Again, I tried resetting the speaker as Bose says to by simply unplugging it for a few minutes, didn't work. Watched every YouTube video I could to try and reset the speaker, nothing worked.
I boxed it up, took it back to Bestbuy and bought a Sonos. I've had the Sonos for over a month now, sounds great, better app than Bose, I was easily able to pair it with my Rogers Remote control, works like a charm.
I've always been a fan of Bose products but, I'm done with them, their quality has gone downhill. Perhaps you'll buy one of these TV speakers and have years of enjoyment with it. Twice bitten and I'm out.
I recently purchased the Bose Bluetooth soundbar. It was very easy to hook up. Also found setting it to go on when TV is turned worked very well. Also set the dialoque to help make speaking clear. Base is not too heavy for me and I enjoy watching movies, etc. and the clarity of voices. Works great in my living room which isn't too big. If room was larger would probably look at upgrading to another Bose soundbar. I recommend this for smaller rooms.
the sound is not much better than my Samsung tv, and my dog chewed the remote and it doesn’t work without one . The remote has been unavailable from BOSE website for months .
For the price of $300.00 on sale you just really can’t complain. I was in the market for a sound bar after I picked up the LG c1 Oled tv and the stock tv speakers were not that great, I couldn’t really hear the dialogues clearly… so I decided to pick up this one and I was impressed the sound it delivered especially considering how small and minimal it looks mounted under my tv using a 20$ wall mounts from Amazon. The dialogue mode on this is awesome and I use it all the time. I am thinking of adding the Bose Subwoofer 500 module. I am saving up for that right now.
So overall if your in a budget then sure pick this up at 300$ but I wouldn’t recommend it for $350.00 normally msrp.
