Dead battery out of the box

Bad right out of the box. Green light will not light up. I think that's how I'm supposed to know it is on? There is nothing in the manual about the darn green light. This is going right back to the store.

NO PEACE OR SECURITY WITH THIS UNIT

Very frustrating and annoying to be spending good money on a product that is supposed to keep you safe and give you a peace of mind and security only to have it be defective right away.
We replaced two old smoke detectors with the KIDDE 20SD10. It has been just over a month and the units keeps randomly going off. Multiple time during the night and day.
It is very frightening and frustrating to be woken up in the middle of the night multiple times by the alarm to sounding only to have it be faulty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

same as everybody else. less than a month old. 3 chirps every 60 secs, no led, no reset. i hope the company standys behind this product and makes it right

I bought 3 of them 12/24 and one by one they all fault alarm and can’t get them to clear. Do not buy!

The worst!

Unit we are in had 4 of these installed, 1 of them keeps going off, even when it’s disabled. DO NOT RECOMMEND ITS VERY LOUD!!

This 2024 unit is supposed to have a 10 year life. The fault alarm woke us up in the middle of the night, and then switched to the smoke alarm signal. Obvious false alarm- We have 4 other alarms in the house that did not go off. Had to disable it to stop the alarm.
