The cover does not hold
on December 30, 2022

The cover does not hold the iPad upright or at a 15 degree angle either. Very frustrating. I always buy Otterbox and have had terrific success with their other products. This one is disappointing.

This Symmetry Series 360 Elite case was definitely designed to allow the option of a hands-free viewing experience with the iPad Pro (11-inch/3rd Gen), and we're very sorry that yours isn't working out as either of us expected.
Let's give it another go with a brand-new warranty replacement to see if there's perhaps just something wonky going on with your particular unit. Just give our friendly Otters a call at 1-855-688-7269, and we'll be glad to help get you a stable experience going forward!

magnets do not work. PERIOD.

As the title states , the magnets on this case are by far the weakest ive seen. They cannot support the ipad to be held up. if you plan on wanting a a case that can support the phone standing up in landscape , this case can not do that.

Unnecessary Changes
on December 3, 2022

I got this product because I was looking for a lightweight case for handheld use that had edge protection. I had this case for the iPad Air 4th Gen and loved it—The stand was sturdy, the pencil flap was easy to use and held the cover in place when folded over, and the case looked good.
The updates on the symmetry elite are a disaster. The magnets are weak making the the stand the weakest of any case I’ve ever used. The pencil tray is annoying and unnecessary. The old Symmetry 360 was the perfect case for IPad, one I would’ve been happy to use for every future iPad. Unfortunately, I now have to look elsewhere.

Hey there! We're so sorry to learn about your disappointment with this Symmetry Series 360 Elite case, especially since you were such a fan of it in the past. The magnets in the stand should be holding strong and supportive for your case, so that's definitely a bit unusual and we're sorry the pencil tray wasn't up to par for you. We'd be interested in hearing more of your thoughts on this case and we'd be happy to look into getting you a replacement if needed. Just give us a ring at 1-855-688-7269 and our friendly Otters would be more than happy to help find the best path forward for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful and really sturdy. I really like the transparent back on this model, as well as the ability to use it as a stand. Nice and slim, not too bulky. I only use OtterBox on my phone, so having a similar tough case that I trust for my iPad is fantastic.

Go back to the original design
on November 14, 2022

I have the original version of this for my old iPad Pro. It is the best case I have found for the iPad/pencil combo. The flap closes securely, and fits around the pencil. The second version, which has the camera cutout to fit the newer IPads doesn’t have a secure flap closure. It just flips open when the pencil is charging and won’t stay in place. And now this new one doesn’t have any closure at all. Please bring back the original design (1st gen) but with cutouts to accommodate the new iPad pro’s camera and speakers.

Dont waste your money

Purchased this for my 11 and 12.9 inch ipad pros, Older versions were better, the cover for the pencil keeps popping off, magnet isn't strong enough. removing the flap from the older versions is definitely a downgrade as it held pencil on, held cover open or closed ... Otter box products have really gone downhill and this isnt the first issues I have had recently, had major issues with iphone 14 pro defender cases X4

We're sorry to hear you're not feeling overly thrilled with the Symmetry Series 360 Elite case for your two iPad Pro devices. Not only that, but it sounds like things haven't gone too well with your case for the iPhone 14 Pro either, which is disappointing to hear.
We'd love to dig in on all of this with you and see what can be done to help turn things around for a better Otter experience going forward. Just give us a call at 1-855-688-7269, and we'll go from there.

Weak magnets and flimsy design for the price point
on October 31, 2022

This is my second attempt ever purchasing an otterbox product after using speck for my iPhones for years and boy was I disappointed What are you up to today? Are you free later for me to call? all over again. It’s a bummer because this brand has a good reputation except I haven’t experienced that in the products I’ve tried.
This case specifically yes wraps around every edge of the device and I like the idea of a clear back to show off stickers, but the material is cheap and scratch prone. My main complaint is the magnets in the folding stand are terrible, absolutely terrible. I couldn’t forgive it honestly. Any amount of force to the upper half of the screen when folded upright causes the setup to fall over like a house of cards. It’s super annoying especially when attempting to draw with your pencil.
The first otterbox product I tried was the blue symmetry case for my new iPhone 12 Pro. I was stoked on the design and trusted otterbox’s reputation but after not even a month of not heavy use, the case stretched and didn’t stay snug on the phone. Mind you this was during Covid lockdown when I never left the house or out my phone in pockets really to even wear down this case. I figured it was a new design for otterbox and learned my lesson. Apparently I didn’t learn enough cause once again a product with “symmetry” in the name burned me once again. I imagine or hope defender products might be a better experience, but otterbox seems to be unable to make slick or cool looking design be functional.
Avoid this product especially at its price point.
Do better otterbox

Doesn’t Deliver

It’s a nice looking case, but I’m really unhappy with its inability to hold the iPad up when I fold the cover to stand. That’s one of the main Features I was looking for. Can I get a refund?
