Failed dangerously

Unfortunately, this fryer exploded on my back deck. Thank goodness it was not inside and that nobody was near it. Would have caused serious injury. Not sure if the heating element heated suddenly beyond what it should have or if it burst. Hot oil went everywhere, ruined the wooden deck, table, landscaping and a pizza oven. Thankful it didn't burn someone but the company has not yet been helpful in remedy for the damage. Just be warned.

Easy clean up and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Made some homemade chips in here and it’s a great addition to my kitchen. It’s so much better than just using oil on the stove top. It’s so much cleaner than oil on the stovetop. I love that it cycles through the oil so you can reuse it. It’s an easy clean up too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the size of this, takes up much less counter space than I envisioned. Perfect for whipping up your favorite snacks and dishes. Easy to clean and put away as well.
I like that it's got an oil filtration system but it can get clogged which then leads to oil all over my counter. Otherwise, it's fast to heat, stays at temp, and extends life of expensive peanut oil.
1. The power cord connection is like a weak magnet That keeps falling from the connector.
2. When the oil temperature is reached the light goes off, But if I'm in another room I can't see that, why isn't there an alert??!!
3. The placement of the on and off switch: It's hidden on the side towards the back Which is very flawed with a 0 l for on & off You have to use wisdom to remember if on is forward or back and vice versa.
My fryer is facing the wall with other units on either side making it difficult to see the on and off switch.
If I can't remember if I turn the fryer off 0 l doesn't help at all.
The switch should be marked with on/off And in front of the unit where it's visible.
4. Is there a automatic off in the event I forget to turn it off because the switch is obscured?
5. The power cord is too short I have to use an extension cord.
6. There is no 350° setting.
Overall the fryer is poorly constructed and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
