Best deep fryer ever

We have had this fryer for about 2 years now. It is quite easy to clean. I love the filtration. I saw there were many low ratings and most referred to the fryer not heating at all. I got the same situation like that before. After washing our fryer, I turned on the power but the ON/OFF switch light would not turned on. There were no heat. To solve it, there is a hole in the back of the fryer, you need to use a tooth stick and lightly press it through this small hole. That would reset the fryer and should solve the problem.

Works at first

I have used this for years but it always had some issues but beared with it but now the dial on the front has broken so it does not lock and when my husband tried to put it in the cupboard the oil came splashing all over him and everything else in sight snd of course there is no replacement part for this so I will be looking for a different fryer but will look to make sure they have all replacement parts I may need

Disappointed in T-fal Product

We bought this within the past year and never liked it. It doesn't heat up enough to cook properly. The other day hear a noise and found that the glass in the lid exploded. No reason for it to happen. We are very disappointed in this and do not recommend.

This is 10/17/2020. We have had our unit since 2015 and it still runs great. My husband is the main user and loves being able to filter the oil and reuse. This is a safe and easy fryer that makes absolutely perfect food. We are on a lower carb diet...and use Carbquick to use on our fish, chicken, etc. and comes about so much better than anything we could get in a restaurant or prepackaged. We are thinking about getting a second so we can cook more items at the same time.. i.e. fish and the brocolli..etc. We have tried other deep fryers and none have compared.... We are more than satisfied with this unit. I see some who have had problems. I can only suggest to try another unit... well worth it!

The best Residential unit I have ever had

This is probably the 20th or so fryer I've had over the years and I will list out why it is superior to anything on the market.
I have used this product for three years to date about twice week.

1. Cleaning: The oil filtering system is absolutely a must. I filter the oil and clean the oil basket after each use and it provides for a much longer oil life and no 'boiling over' of dirty oil.
2. The seamless top lip. Other products I have used have a rubber gasket and channel around the top edge that clogs up after some use. There is no channel on the top edge so no buildup.
3. Maintains temps and cooks evenly.

Ok great idea poor construction

The oil container leaks. When I drained the oil, it was very slow and leaked leaving a small amount of oil on the counter. When pouring the oil back into the fryer, it leaked again from the bottom where the valve is

I have had this fryer for 2 years and love this fryer. If you don't over fill the fryer and only fill to the max line you should never have a problem. I love that it cleans the oil every time!! Fresh oil each time you use it. When you are done frying you turn the knob to drain and later in the evening when it cools the oil automatically goes into the oil container. Every time I use it, I do get a couple paper towels and wipe out the fryer inside and around the screen plug to get all the crumbs out, but other than that love this fryer. Also to clean and use fresh oil after so many uses, it is so easy to pour the oil from the oil container into a empty butter bowl and throw the old oil away and start fresh. Also the oil container if it gets to nasty, you can put in the dishwasher to get it clean. Fryer cooks well too!!!!
I would definitely buy a new one if this one every quits on me.

How can I clean up inside fillter?

I like this fryer.
But I have a problem.
I can not find anywhere how to clean inside fillter.
When I wash the fryer , there is a lot of oil, so I have to use detergent, but the residue in the filter screen will permeate the residue in the filter. If I can't clean the inside,
Detergent is soaked in the debris in the filter, but it would not be good to keep frying in it.There is no instruction on how to clean the inside of the filter.
