This is probably the 20th or so fryer I've had over the years and I will list out why it is superior to anything on the market. I have used this product for three years to date about twice week.
1. Cleaning: The oil filtering system is absolutely a must. I filter the oil and clean the oil basket after each use and it provides for a much longer oil life and no 'boiling over' of dirty oil. 2. The seamless top lip. Other products I have used have a rubber gasket and channel around the top edge that clogs up after some use. There is no channel on the top edge so no buildup. 3. Maintains temps and cooks evenly. Jon
The oil container leaks. When I drained the oil, it was very slow and leaked leaving a small amount of oil on the counter. When pouring the oil back into the fryer, it leaked again from the bottom where the valve is
I have had this fryer for 2 years and love this fryer. If you don't over fill the fryer and only fill to the max line you should never have a problem. I love that it cleans the oil every time!! Fresh oil each time you use it. When you are done frying you turn the knob to drain and later in the evening when it cools the oil automatically goes into the oil container. Every time I use it, I do get a couple paper towels and wipe out the fryer inside and around the screen plug to get all the crumbs out, but other than that love this fryer. Also to clean and use fresh oil after so many uses, it is so easy to pour the oil from the oil container into a empty butter bowl and throw the old oil away and start fresh. Also the oil container if it gets to nasty, you can put in the dishwasher to get it clean. Fryer cooks well too!!!! I would definitely buy a new one if this one every quits on me.
I like this fryer. But I have a problem. I can not find anywhere how to clean inside fillter. When I wash the fryer , there is a lot of oil, so I have to use detergent, but the residue in the filter screen will permeate the residue in the filter. If I can't clean the inside, Detergent is soaked in the debris in the filter, but it would not be good to keep frying in it.There is no instruction on how to clean the inside of the filter. Please give me how to clean inside fillter.
Purchased this fryer approx. 6 months ago, Does not heat the oil to the mamamun tempature indicated on the dial. Falls about 35 degrees F short and not adjustable. Attempted several times to place a parts order for additional oil tank and the website will not except nor process my order. I sincerely doubt this this appliance will have a long and happy life.
I purchased this 2 years ago. It frys food great but the EZ Clean features needs work. After filtrating the oil a few times the drain gets clogged. It will drain slow or not at all. Even wil I dump the oil and wash the the oil pan out the push button feature that allows the oil to drain is clogged. There is no way to remove it to clean the filter out. If you can make that part removable this product would get 5 stars from me.
We have had this for 6 months and do alot of fish frys! Beware that there is a smaller fryer that is easily mistaken for this. Is is incredibly easy to wash in dishwasher but does take the whole dishwasher. Also do not store oil pan on end as directions say or you will be sorry. Other than that the fryer is amazing. Highly recommend. Has not caused any tripping of our circuit either.
I love my deep fryer. I have had mine for 3 years now and have had no issues with it. I have even accidentally turned it on without oil in it a couple times and was surprised I didn't mess up the heating element but it has continued on faithfully.
My favorite feature is how it automatically drains and filters the oil so you can re-use the oil 5-10 times. It’s a big cost savings and a total game changer. This is what I hated about fryers I had in the past. It was messy and a pain to drain the oil but expensive to change it every time. Plus then the oil would go rancid because It was hard to clean the bits of food from it. The TFal fryer does all of that automatically by just turning a dial and has a covered container that fits in the bottom of the fryer that stores the oil until you're ready to use it again.
Then every part of it except the heating element is disheasher safe so you can just throw it all in the dishwasher for easy cleanup. My deep fryer and my Instant Pot are the two appliances I absolutely could not live without. I use them so often! They are my favorite things that I've ever gotten for my kitchen.
