DOES NOT COME UP TO TEMPATURER. Had this fryer for 2 years and always had reservations and greasy results. Recently acquired an accurate thermometer and tested the oil temp. Best I ever got was 336 Degrees at the highest setting. . FAR to low to fry anything without being excessively to greasy. It's actually unhealthy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Exactly What You Think It Is

I've read a lot reviews here and perhaps some of them are due to user inexperience and some to the manufacturing of electronics that sometimes goes wonky no mater what appliance you have. I, however, am one of the lucky ones, I guess, in that this fryer works perfectly for me. I did have an an oil spill mishap but that was my fault for not paying attention to the "Max" line and the filtered oil overflowed onto the counter after filling the box. The concept is great and it appears to work very well when using common sense. Indeed it would have been better to have a screw-off filter screen with an O-ring to keep it from leaking, but I don't have a problem getting it clean as-is. Then again, I'm not big on coated things and originally bought this for struffoli and wandi but now also use it for pre-marinated Chinese and Buffalo chicken wings.

Third fryers a charm!

I have owned fryers for years and after a few months of using I was disappointed in both the product and the clean-up after use. I saw a video review of this fryer and thought this is what I have been looking for! I have owned this fryer for 4 months now and I have been so happy with it... It's not messing, there is minimal splatter on my countertop, I can easily change the oil, and all but the heating unit can be cleaned in the dishwasher. I will NEVER go back to a basic deep fryer.... My only gripe is I have to put this fryer and my air fryer on different circuits in the kitchen because using at the same time blows the fuse every time, LOL.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best deep fryer ever

We have had this fryer for about 2 years now. It is quite easy to clean. I love the filtration. I saw there were many low ratings and most referred to the fryer not heating at all. I got the same situation like that before. After washing our fryer, I turned on the power but the ON/OFF switch light would not turned on. There were no heat. To solve it, there is a hole in the back of the fryer, you need to use a tooth stick and lightly press it through this small hole. That would reset the fryer and should solve the problem.

Works at first

I have used this for years but it always had some issues but beared with it but now the dial on the front has broken so it does not lock and when my husband tried to put it in the cupboard the oil came splashing all over him and everything else in sight snd of course there is no replacement part for this so I will be looking for a different fryer but will look to make sure they have all replacement parts I may need

Disappointed in T-fal Product

We bought this within the past year and never liked it. It doesn't heat up enough to cook properly. The other day hear a noise and found that the glass in the lid exploded. No reason for it to happen. We are very disappointed in this and do not recommend.

Great fryer! Perfect for our needs!

This is 10/17/2020. We have had our unit since 2015 and it still runs great. My husband is the main user and loves being able to filter the oil and reuse. This is a safe and easy fryer that makes absolutely perfect food. We are on a lower carb diet...and use Carbquick to use on our fish, chicken, etc. and comes about so much better than anything we could get in a restaurant or prepackaged. We are thinking about getting a second so we can cook more items at the same time.. i.e. fish and the brocolli..etc. We have tried other deep fryers and none have compared.... We are more than satisfied with this unit. I see some who have had problems. I can only suggest to try another unit... well worth it!
