Perfect (with one fix)!

My 7 year old daughter built the majority of this set herself. She needed a little help with the roof, but I was really impressed by her building ability and by the set itself. That being said, there is one major design flaw that we both noticed. The gingerbread woman is unable to use any of the furniture inside and outside of the house due to the unwieldiness of her skirt. We came up with a fix for this and wanted to share. We put the skirt on the gingerbread man. Now the gingerbread woman is able to take a relaxing bath while the gingerbread man rocks the baby to sleep in the crib. She can also take a nice nap while he's feeding the baby. She can sit comfortably by the fire while he makes her a perfect cup of tea, and she can enjoy that tea outdoors at the table while he takes the baby for a walk. Five stars for this set (with this fix)! See our attached photos. Our Christmas wish is that there is a woman designer for next year's set!

Wonderful with caveats

Entertaining Build; Charming set. Will be fun for the grandchildren to enjoy. Now for the caveat: yes, as others have expressed, the top peak rooflines can be challenging. i found "AustrianLegoFan" on YouTube to be very helpful. I like the way he sets the build up overall better than the instructions and following his roof line build cleared up the problem for me. It was a matter of slight misalignment. Two small pieces were missing that didn't hamper the completion of the set.

Really Love This Gingerbread House

This was as fun model to build and I loved the little interesting touches the creators put into the model. It is very visually pleasing. The baby was a little odd, but OK. This will make a very fun addition to our Christmas Lego tradition.

Adorable Set- Not Perfect

This set is absolutely precious. It was so much fun to put together, and the end result is my new favorite Christmas decoration! My only complaint is that two parts of the roof do not fit correctly when you follow the instructions exactly. I only had to tweak it a tiny bit to get the pieces to slide in like they are supposed to. But be forewarned if you have inflexible kiddos that will melt down if the instructions aren’t perfect.

Great set!

This set was a lot of fun to put together! I love all the details, cute colors and the star on the christmas tree. No problem with attaching the roof parts like the other reviews had- just follow the directions and you will be fine.

Excellent Model

I built this with my 5 and 6 year-olds and although they could only maintain their interest in the build for an hour at a time, they loved doing it, and really loved the finished product. Note to parents: the build is nuanced, so you need to pay very close attention to the instructions or pieces won't come together exactly right -- particularly when you start piecing together the fireplace and the roof. But, the instructions are great, and the end-result is really outstanding. Highly recommend.

Very fun set

I saw some reviews commented on the roof being difficult, we didn't experience that at all, it is very solid/stable. This was a fun set to build with the kids, the detail inside and out is great.

Great addition to the village!

Was a great build. I didn't find it difficult at all, Not sure why some people had issues with the roof, the roof clicked perfectly. I built it, I don't think my 8 yo son can do some of the parts.
Those who had issues they should probably rebuild the set, pretty sure they missed a step.
