Interactive LEGO Build & Play Gingerbread House

This was definitely worth it. It was fun and engaging for our experienced builder 9-year-old and parents to build together. Plus, all of the different areas inside and outside the house, plus the accessories make for fun play once it’s built. We learned new building techniques and have already used some in our other free builds. A good set for girls and boys. I recommend this as a family build.

Great addition to the winter village

My husband and I had a great time building this new addition to our winter village. These buildings are so much better when they have a lot of detail and there have been years where Lego did not do such a great job with this. I am happy to say that the gingerbread house is one with great detail like some of the older pieces like the winter cottage. We did not have any problems putting the roof together as some other reviewers mentioned and in fact we were astonished with how well built and all the detail that went Into the roofs. It was also the hardest winter village we have put together and took a lot of time. I also love the glitter windows this was one of my favorite additions. I would recommend the gingerbread house to any winter village fan so what are you waiting for go buy it!

How can you not love a gingerbread man with snowblower? :) Built this along with my 11 year old. Had no issue with roof. A lot of detail in the interior. The Santa's Workshop set should have had this look.

Gingerbread House Fun

We loved building this Gingerbread house! All of the details were festive and bright. The stain glass windows, light up fire place, and doll house quality were our favorites. We didn’t have any issues with the roof, and found if properly constructed was very sturdy. All in all it was definitely worth the price, and is something we will display every holiday season.

fun set, some good some room for improvement

I enjoyed building and felt it was well designed. There are some things in this set that are better than other Winter Village in the past and it looks cute sitting out at the holiday time.
It is a bit hard to fit into the existing Winter Village collection, but I think of them as the artistic funky neighbors to the blue "ski lodge" house and the Gingerbread family is just another neighbor in the village. At first I thought I would place it in my "winter fair" area with the carousel and the food booths where I have a big tree and ice rink but then when I built the set I saw they are just a regular family so I will put them in the residential area.
I agree with other reviewers that the baby as a tile instead of a micro fig is silly considering we have seen a baby micro fig in another set.
Some other reviewers have mentioned having trouble with the roofs but mine are very well designed and solid. Much better than some of the earlier Winter Village roofs. The tolerances are tight but when you get them in place they are very satisfying.
I also feel like the design on the light brick is much better than some in the past that were more awkward to operate.
My child thinks there needs to be a ladder to get to the loft but I think the house is just cut in half and we can't see the stairs.

Warm Up the Coco

This kits is just awesome. There is so much detail. It was fun to build and the kids have been playing gingerbread house ever since. NOTE: add shredded cotton balls to have a blizzard and snow in the gingerbread people. That's what my kids did.

Could have been a great addition

I've gotten all of the village and have been pleased until this one. My grandson and I put them together every year. First why not RED/GREEN windows? Second The roof and one of the walls. The top left wall is very wobbly and needs at least one more connecting piece towards the top to keep it from coming apart at the merest touch. The roof above the bathroom was alright when placing but the other side was horrible. We're not even using the roof over the bathroom. Only 2 gingerbread figures??? Hope you do better next year or we won't be buying anymore!
