This is a phenomenal piece of art. Starting with the one negative that a few people have brought up is repetition. Throughout the build, you build similar aspects due to it being symmetrical. I recommend putting on some music or a movie that has Paris involved in it. I bought this as a Christmas present for myself early on and divided it up to do about 3-4 bags a day leading up to Christmas morning when I finished the last bag and placed it on top. Doing this helped with the repetition, and made me appreciate all the intricate detail. The display piece that you get afterward is mind-blowing. I have gotten compliments from people not know that it is Lego. It also needs to have a lot of space to properly display it, but man is it gorgeous! From all angles that you look at it, your mind is just blown away. If you have the money, this is the set to go with, unless you can't stand repetition. Even if you can't you can divide this amongst friends and end up with an amazing display.

This is an amazing build. Very repetitive but the result worths it. I love the Eiffel Tower and it is not sitting in the center of my living room. All light up and ready good Christmas!

I am a 12 year old kid and I built this set in the time span of 15 hours. I worked on it nonstop. I would recommend this set if you have the time and the patience. This set can be repetitive. I absolutely loved this set and would totally build it again!

What a set this is to behold first and foremost, almost as tall as I am at 5'8"!! It takes a long long wile to build and the only bad remark about the set itself I can say is that the build is EXTREMELY repetitive, perhaps too much so. Other than that was I was missing a few pieces here and there but it was no big deal as I logged into the missing piece page and had them sent in no time at all. A word to the wise, make sure you have the space to put this before you buy it!

Not stable

My major concern is the stability of the lower section. I had the tower collapse twice and won't rebuild again. I don't want to glue the base but that is the only way to keep the tower stable - in my opinion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
