Best Lego set ever

I had a lot of fun building this set that I want to build it again. Cause I love building Legos and there were a few pieces missing but it's ok it turned out really good I would be sad if they didn't have this set anymore.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Like others, I will qualify by saying I have built many sets including most recently the titanic.
I love legos and look forward to Sagrada Família this winter, and to buying another set to build in place of the Eiffel Tower. I’m a sucker I guess.
So for the review:
I cannot believe any of the 4 or 5 star reviewers built this set. It was a present from my wife and is junk. Read the one star reviews as they are dead on.
First, the instructions were clearly not quality controlled. Steps are simply wrong and/or misleading.
If you get past the issues with the instructions, you will find the structure is extremely unstable and not up to Lego standards. The first thing I noticed was there are numerous parts that connect on one side but not the other. Ok, not a deal breaker however it is missing the satisfaction of locking pieces in place (isn’t that what Legos are??). Then the upside-down arches on the first level. Yikes. I spent forever trying to get them in place before realizing they just hang there - they do not stay in place and keep falling apart. I now understand why negative reviewers mention superglue!
After reading the reviews tonight I have decided to abandon this build and move on. I can’t imagine what it is like as you get toward the top and it continues to crumble.
I will say that I understood it would be repetitive so that it is not an issue for me - that was obvious when we bought it.
Finally… if a human actually reads these, your company replies fall way short of the mark. Your offer to “help troubleshoot” the build is a joke. These are design and product quality issues. Nothing less.

Tower

We really love the outcome of Eiffel Tower. The detail is amazing but it is very repetitive pieces. They instruct you to build the corners of the building sheet by sheet instead of instructing 4x. It is very fragile and the one thing that was the most difficult part was the arches. It kept on wanting to fall as you put the cable pieces on. We ended up using model glue and let it set for two hours before moving on. It took my son 28 hours for the completion of the build. I personally think the price is a tad high but overall it is a beautiful piece that’s for sure. If you’re not a patient person this build is not for you. I hope this review helps others before they buy this piece.

None of the parts stay together

I have built the Titanic, Notre Dame, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain etc. and by far this has been the worst build experience. While the pieces may snap together fine initially, they do not stay put and break away/fall apart once you incorporate them to the larger structure or add them to other pieces. Not sure if LEGO has changed the chemical composition of their pieces, but unfortunately this set is an exercise in complete frustration.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Massive Display Piece

This set is HUGE. The build process is repetitive and fairly tedious but the end result is a star attraction for diehard LEGO fans.

Definitely a “tedious” build. But as someone who does these big projects as a hobby that’s helped me during my journey of sobriety, I find the time deposit is well deserved.

This piece is beautiful… if you can get it to stay together. I’ve never hated Legos until this set. I read the reviews about how bad it was but I had to buy it because it is going to retire soon. I know why.

The Eiffel Tower: So Many Pieces

This Lego is a breathtaking build. With so many tiny peices. I would recommend this product to passionate builders and collectors. Personally, I feel like this Lego is a little overpriced. I can't play with it and You have to pay very close attention to the instruction manuel, or you risk having to take apart and rebuild for like 45 minutes (Trust me I know). Overall, this is a pretty good Lego.
