Could not be be more delighted with this mower. It is easy to operate, and it cuts very evenly. The power and run time have been all that I have come to expect and I look forward to many years of use. We use this mower to cut in areas that are not accessible to the larger riding mowers, covering an area of a little over an acre. The area has a a few ups and downs and the self-propelled feature works well on the steeper inclines. In addition, the plus of going from gas to electric, both in the maintenance as well as the reduction in noise is hard to calculate, but is definitely worth it.
Amazed at how powerful a battery operated lawnmower can be! Able to cut our 1 acre yard with a full battery. No backbreaking pool chords to deal with, no gas and oil mix, just a simple push button and you’re off. Will definitely be buying more Greenworks Pro products in the future!
I bought the lawnmower and I love it! The handles are high enough so I my back doesn't hurt leaning over pushing it and I got the self-propelled one. Mowing my lawn has never been easier! Thank you!
Love the quiet and efficient workings of this battery powered lawn mower. No mess, no gas or oil to worry about! No foul smells.....doesn't get any better.
Purchased this item a month ago. Mowed five times in a month, 3.5 acres. Lots to say here. First, I ordered a self propelled machine and got the push instead. Apparently out of the self propelled model and just sent me this one without asking. Well, despite 3.5 acres of mowing, I’ll take this one (push) as it seems to adjust to height of grass quickly and gives me more battery life time I assume. Second; the battery if used until it runs out is a solid 75 minutes of mowing. There are discrepancies in the ads saying 90 minutes and the manual saying 60 minutes. I’ll take the 75 minutes. It is an 80 volt 6 amp battery and does charge in an hour. So no complaints. Third, make sure to clean the under carriage frequently if grass is tall or moist. It builds up under there with grass gunk, and the motor just needs to be air cleaned after each use. Don’t use water. I find that doing this is not taking more time, rather a savings of time as it cleans faster than my gas mower did with all the particulars I had to check or fill (gas, oil). So I like this feature as well. Lastly, it appears to be durable. Blade is still sharp and doing its job. I’m impressed with that portion as well Overall it’s a smart purchase and trust me, a decision to go green that you won’t feel bad about.
I am happy in general-it is light, the self-propeller is pretty buff, quiet... BUT but but, mowing long grass on the flat, less than 1/2 acre, batteries used up in only a few minutes. Not a chance that this machine could do an acre on these batteries under either bag or no-bag situation unless you are running on pavement! So that 'up to an acre' claim is pretty much balderdash. So I go to see how much batteries cost, and low and behold they are nearly 1/2 the price of the whole machine! Yikes! Give me a break on an extra battery please! Recommending but with qualifier- get more power! make batteries cheaper!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello,
We're sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied with your current run time. It is important to recognize that the run time depends on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching, operator technique, etc. - there are so many factors to consider. The harder the unit has to work, the quicker the battery charge will drain. Similar to how the gas in a vehicle will deplete quicker when driving at higher speeds or carrying more weight.
Here are a few tips to extend your run time! 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
